I just dealt with my first bad camera experience on my Pixel 3 XL. I needed to take screenshots of some settings on my PC and was rotating my phone back and forth from vertical to horizontal. Holy smokes, the lag! If I turned my phone sideways it froze and took maybe 1 to over 1 second at times for the camera to properly rotate / adjust. This was just taking photos with the rear camera, no idea if video is affected. It isn't a major deal to me, but I tried the same thing on my S10e and the camera is instant every time.

And you're saying it works just like iPhone!?

Not exactly but similar. See the arrow in the middle near the bottom? It appears when you scroll and you tap it to get to the top. Actually easier to reach than the top.

Ahhh ok, that's a nice workaround on Android's part, as I'm sure Tap to Top is patented. I've been off of Android so long, that I didn't know Chrome wasn't the top dawg anymore.

A few months ago, some of us posted a link to buy a pixel at a discount. Google was supposed to give a credit to those that referred. I know both of mine were used, but I never received a credit. Did anyone else who posted get a credit yet?

Hmm I'll have to check. I did the Target deal where it was $450 instant rebate and supposedly $300 24 month credit from Verizon. I have a saved chat where they agreed to the credit.

Yep it's a great solution. No tap to top used to be kind of a dealbreaker for me too but since using Samsung browser I honestly don't miss it anymore. And it has a nice bonus: it still works with personal hotspot activated ;)

Yeah, more reachable = better for today's large phones.

Is the Pixel 3 XL worth an upgrade from the 2 XL? I have the 2 XL and am more than happy with it other than one thing. Every time I am on a phone call the screen is blacked out and it will not be back on until the phone call is ended by the other person. I also cracked my screen and it works but I am thinking if I want to replace the screen or just buy the 3. The camera is the main thing about my 2, I use the rear cameras all the time(no selfies). Is the camera on the 3 really that much better?

Is a Pixel XL2 AT $400 worth it as a secondary device to an iPhone?

I wanted a Pixel 3 to mess with but this seems like a solid price right now from Best Buy/Verizon. I would prefer the smaller screen though.

By the time you factor in tax and activation fee, you could likely get a Pixel 3 on swappa for the same price. Unless you prefer installment payments, I'd go that route.

With that said, I always loved my 2XL and could use one with no issues. (I would miss wireless charging though)

Wireless charging would be a big one. Nevermind that completely then!

I am looking for an unlocked Pixel 3 to mess with as my Android phone. I'd love an S10 but that seems like major overkill.

Also contemplating going to Fi for savings as I am getting tired of ATT's crap.

Don't know where in the States would do them but in the UK there's a website selling refurb ones for £500. Mine was mint condition with all the accessories in the original box.

Anyone still interested in buying a Pixel 3 or 3XL, I highly recommend checking out Swappa. There are a ton on there in mint condition for around $700. Some even have the Pixel stand included. This phone was originally overpriced but that's a hell of a deal.

Well it’s really good, but can be glitchy. Can you hang on to what you’ve got and see what the Pixel 4 is like?
