If I were to go Android, the Pixel 3/3XL is definitely at the top of my list - however I'm disappointed that there appear to be problems with the microphone.

Have we figured out if it can be fixed with an OS update, or is this a Pixel hardware issue?

I thought Google mentioned that issue seems to be fixable via software. We'll see. The next update is next week .

Give the search function a try. I posted an answer to this on the previous page.

My repeatedly delayed White 3 XL finally shipped and should arrive next Monday. I'm ready with (2) Pixel Stands, a Fabric case, and a screen protector. Can't wait!
Who was the delivery service for your Pixel 3 XL? Did you get stuck for days on end with a “Label created” and “Delivery Pending” status. Was there ever originally a delivery date promised but the status turned back into Delivery Pending. I’m having that problem with a FedEx delivery from some vendor. Somewhere. About something.

It's FedEx but I didn't get a shipping notice until just today well over a week after I ordered it. Mine originally said I'd get it just before Thanksgiving then just was in the status on Google order confirmation page as "Delayed" and then something about we are working as fast as we can to get you your device.

Ah. Thanks. I think they’re selling all they made and then some. I guess that’s good.

wow! I ordered my wife a white P3XL on Thursday morning (11/22; $200 off black Friday deal) and it came on on Monday (11/26). I wonder why yours was delayed so much? Hope you get it soon!

I'd imagine a USB-C to HDMI adapter would do the trick, but I'm not sure if the Pixel is compatible or not. I'd assume it would be

https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-uni-Thunderbolt-Compatible-MacBook/dp/B075V68NVR
I have one that I use with my Note and MacBook, and works fine there. Even works with my iPad pro, but with no mouse support it's not that usefully.

But it does nothing with my Pixel. Even my essential phone works and it runs stock Android. But for some reason, nothing with my Pixel.

Ugh I am not having much luck getting stuff delivered. I ordered an Apple product from Best Buy. I got a notification that it was delivered to my mailbox. Actual wording was in/near my mailbox. Oh Lordy if it was near it anybody could have driven off with it. Well needless to say it wasn’t there. It was sent via UPS but for some reason was handed off to my local post office.

Why? Oh Why? My local post office misdelivered my computer to a neighbor down the street. The neighbor tried to call them and they wouldn’t answer so she drove down to my house and lugged that computer to my doorstep herself. They never answered when I tried to call them about my missing delivery. My husband somehow got through.

Sigh.

I’ve waited two days near my door for two deliveries. I think now the one I’m waiting for that is pertinent to this thread hasn’t even been shipped at all despite my having gotten an email days ago saying it had been shipped and would be delivered yesterday.

Grrrrr

Do you have Parcel Lockers in your area (the free, public ones. Not PO Box)? I use them for deliveries when I can. Very handy to have it delivered to a secure locker that you can unlock with the code contained in your phone’s delivery notification.

I've didn't know about that. I'll have to look into that option, thank you. I'm the victim of too many misdelivered packages with USPS.

I'm on hold with BB right now. They're trying to get authorization for a reship...got it! Yay BB! That was for an Apple product.

Anyway...yay good news: looks like "something else" I'm waiting for that didn't turn up will turn up on Monday. I greedily wish it was for me, sort of, but I think someone special is going to love it! Everyone on this forum seems happy enough with theirs.

Monday is not bad at all. It means they may be addressing stock shortages pretty well after all. I just hope I'm able to be here to sign for it.

I think by now that special someone has seen my posts. I don't think they mind. We will just be grateful to have Christmas at all.

The camera on this thing is as advertised. Low light processing is unbelievable. The lowlight difference is insane.

No night sight

Night Sight is a great feature to have in your pocket. For those instances of near complete darkness, you can still get a good photo. It's amazing.

That’s fabulous results! On my Pixel 2 I got astonishing pictures of my cat in a dark room using Night Sight. I could barely see in that room but the camera took light in somehow.

My Xr takes nicer pictures than the Pixel 2 in a well lit room. But I would hope and imagine the Pixel 3 camera has significant improvements. Judging from your photo I would say so. Lovely home and dog, by the way.

I just received my Pixel 3 in White on Friday evening, so I have been playing with it all weekend.
I have to say that Google has done an amazing job with this phone. I have been using the Iphone 8 and Samsung Galaxy s9 for the last 6 months. Both are great phones as well, but this Pixel 3 is very deceiving.
I like the size and weight of this phone. It feels great in the hand. It feels like an Iphone SE but with a much bigger screen. I know that sounds weird, but the screen is larger than the iphone 8, but the Pixel 3 reminds me of the streamlined sleekness of the SE. The Android operating system is smooth and easy to use, no bloatware or redundant android apps. I like it much better than the S9's Android experience. The Pixel 3 seems like a phone that Nokia would put out. They did a great job on this phone. I was lucky to get the phone for $649 brand new from Google. Not bad.

Hello, GreenPea. Thank you for posting your review. Could you please go into more detail about how the size and feel compares to the Galaxy S9 and iPhone 8. Thank you.

Edit: I just did a size comparison on Phone Arena and the iPhone 8 is noticeably shorter than both the Pixel 3 and S9. The Pixel 3 and S9 are both very close in size. So I'm very interested in hearing how the Pixel 3 comparies from your point of view. Thank you.

I can tell you that the Pixel 3 effectively feels just like the S9 in hand.

This is from Google. A free Pixel Stand is what the pre-order promo should have been.

As well as 200 bucks off. ;)

I am actually thinking about ditching my s7e as well as Sprint for as my main line. The phone just irritating me with it's consistent babysitting of itself.

Might be a reason to grab a pixel 3. There really is not much else as far as choices.

Or don’t be even a late adopter Black Friday shopper either.

Oh I wanted to know if y’all are getting a lot of app crashes and bugs on your Pixel 3 or 3XL’s. I’ve had a horrible time of it with iOS on my iPad mini 4 and my Xr. Crash Bandicoot is my nickname for iOS now. “Apps be crashing”. I reboot. It’s on multiple devices so I know it’s the OS not the device.

I haven’t really had a lot of time to get reacquainted with Android Pie on my Pixel 2. Dealing with a lot of poop, so just have had no time to set everything up. So my Pixel 2 is charged but just serving as backup right now. And the display is so small and flickery I really wouldn’t be doing a lot of stuff on it anyway.

If I were going for a Pixel for myself it would be 3XL. But even that one, I don’t think my eyes could handle the OLED.
