Any interest an in unopened unlocked cloudy white 128gb 6 pro at cost? Figured I’d ask here before I return it since I know it’s backordered a bit.

I’ll also post in the for sale forum shortly.

If you don't mind, I'm also going to link this post to the members at Android Central and I know some people are waiting for phones

The Pixel is just one of the phones that the more you use it the better it performs.Apps get optimized through AI to perform better faster. Battery gets better with use for the same reasons. AI optimizes battery so well I don't even think about battery life anymore.
The camera has been outstanding! The phone size and dimensions are perfect for me.
I can't say enough positive things about this phone and the user experience.
The only negative thing I will say is about the FPS. They should have gone with an ultrasonic FPS IMHO.

In my mind the FPS is the only thing keeping the Pixel 6 and Pro from being perfect Android phones.

Everyone knows I am a Apple fan and my iPhone 13 PM has been my daily driver no matter what Android phones I have. This has changed so far with the Pixel 6 Pro. I have not picked up my 13 PM since I got the P6 Pro.
I always feel my iPhone calling my name no matter what Android phone I have at the moment.
I have not heard that call so far with the Pixel 6 Pro

This post has me second guessing my for sale post!

Are you using a screen protector? That’s one of my big concerns. I have a tpu one ready to go but I really hate how they feel.

I do not use a screen protector on any of my phones. Just have never used them.

In fact I even picked up an Galaxy Watch Active2 to pair with my P6 Pro

Look at your avatar and go mamba mentality on that box. It's worth a shot, at least you'll know vs wondering!

It's weird that I'm usually the one who has no luck with finger print sensors and this one works flawlessly for me. Dry fingers, slightly damp, doesn't matter I get in easily especially with the left thumb!

Okay here are some photos and all of them are from a moving car going 35-45 mph. Some are 4x zoom. In a moving vehicle if you pixel peep there definitely is a loss of detail. But I'm just stunned to have focused images at all because I could not get photos of this type on my S21 Ultra. Iphone 12 Pro Max could have done some of them but 2.5 zoom made for a different look vs 4x.

At night, going about 30 mph, I locked focus on the moon and held steady as I could and definitely turned night mode off:

This free range chickens in the woods photo was 4x zoom on a bumpy road going 30 mph. I couldn't believe the chickens came out in focus. We hit a bump and I smacked my hand on the window.

When we reached out destination I had only one bar of LTE. My phone and my husband's did get slightly warm. The 12 Pro belonging to our teenager and the 13 Pro Max also belonging to my husband didn't get warm. This information is in reference to the question about modem overheating. But I sat my phone down on a table and it cooled down. I don't have any problems in my house with two to three bars of LTE.

That's all I can post for now. I have to sift through some other photos. But I'm trying to use screens lightly because I still need a break from screens.

With results like this I'm definitely keeping Stormy. My S21 Ultra will still have a job playing my movies. I'm not sure what I'll read my ebooks on. I put a request for the new ipad Mini Jellyscroll edition for Christmas! 🤣 I'll return it if it's a problem.

After I get my mom taken care of, (she's got a major surgery scheduled) I'll see my doctor and get a referral to a new neurologist since I'm on a different health plan and have to get new specialists. I got a clean bill of health from my opthalmologist but he recommended I double-check everything with a neurologist.

I’m kind of afraid I’ll love it haha. Especially after what @jamezr just said. I always am drawn back to my iPhone no matter what Android phone I’ve had but this one sounds like a winner.

Does anyone have a clue if Amazon has any sort of restock fee on returning phones if opened?

I'm the opposite, anytime I buy an iPhone, I soon regret it, and realize how ********* Apple's iOS is, and run back to a stock Android phone.

Maybe iOS will be good eventually LOL

Yeah, I have had zero issues with the fingerprint sensor either. I like Face ID better, but this one has worked great for me so far.

wait...didn't you say how great iPhones and IOS was and started a whole thread about it lol

I have read how you were disappointed in Google time and time again in this thread.
But now you love the Pixel 6?

I have always been a Nexus / Pixel or OnePlus phone guy the most. Big stock Android nerd.

Since smartphones came out in the mid 2000's, I have probably owned 25 to 30 different brands and OS's, out of all those I think I had 3 iPhone's total. So since 2007 I have only bought three iPhone's. Where the vast majority ranged from the Nexus-One to the Pixel 6. My fav Samsung phone ever was the Galaxy S4 GPE, because it ran stock Android directly supported by Google, that was the only good Galaxy phone that Samsung made.

Seriously though, jokes aside, I do appreciate and really like the hardware and build quality of the latest iPhone's. Apple does create beautifully well built smartphones. And their processors and chipsets, and displays are top of the line, the best. But my goodness iOS is just not for me, at all. It feels so dated and like Apple doesn't actually use the phone themselves, with how little certain things get updated or never changed or redone. iOS feels like it's stuck in 2010.

But I will say that iOS 13 + 14 actually made some big strides with things that desperately needed revising or adding stuff, they did, so I bought the iPhone 12 Pro Max then, and was pleasantly surprised how iOS seemed to finally be evolving for once, then my bubble was burst with iOS 15 with NOTHING being done per all the legit rumors and news site saying this and that was coming, and literally ZERO came. So maybe iOS 13 + 14 updates were just a once in a several year thing, and big updates aren't coming again until iOS 18 or so? So until then, I am not coming back to an iPhone

Why is the P6P better than past Pixels in your opinion?

iPhone fans will list their reasons why they use iOS and why they have no desire for Android. They have their reasons. I also think that the best looking and best built phones come from Apple. They also have the highest trade in value to any other phone made. That’s why people buy Apple.

But I also have my reasons why I can’t go to an iPhone full time and that is iOS has no call screener like the one Google offers. It has become a godsend for me. Prior to buying my first Pixel last year, well actually I purchased both the 4a and 5G, I would average about 200 robocalls a month. Now with the Google call screener I get about 15 a month that get past the automatic call screener. If i’m watching the phone I can simply tap call screener and see if they leave a message or simply hang up.

So people all have their reasons for using a particular platform. My reason is that it has reduced the frustration and I have been able to filter legitimate business calls.

P6p Screen Quality

Excellent screen. My only complaint is how the screen handles white colors. The curved edges display a slight shadow, and there is a very minor shift of white color when viewed off angle. Otherwise, the screen is absolutely amazing colors. Colors pop really well. Super sharp too.

This is why I enjoy using IOS and android. The features I want in other areas I can enjoy on android devices.

As a tech head as soon as I realised android phones can't replace my iPhone the sooner I came to love android phones for what they are.

S21 ultra for me is the best phone out with what it can do and its nice to have that option.

Trying the pixel experience has been great and I can see why people enjoy it. Fingerprint scanner for me is the only real negative

Are you using a screen protector? That’s one of my big concerns. I have a tpu one ready to go but I really hate how they feel.

I’m using a Tocol TPU screen protector on my 6 Pro. I’ve always preferred glass to a film. All the films I’ve used in the past were tacky feeling and would pick up crud quickly. But this Tocol isn’t tacky.

Installation was a breeze with the small alignment tool they provide.

The fingerprint scanner is a let down for me. Slow and not very accurate. Even Google has admitted it. And apparently other people can unlock phones with their fingerprints even though they have never been setup on the phone.
