Could you guys get it together with this fingerprint scanner already. Lmfao ... I feel your pain though. It really is frustrating when some people have no issues but a lot of people are having issues so I feel for all of you...

But I did get this sweet case on eBay

Very nice. Looks like it has a nice grip and I like the look overall. How's the screen area for protection?

Can
the Pixel FPS is killing me!! On a weekend hunting trip in the mountains. Driving along a dirt road we see a herd of elk. We get out to take some pics. The herd start moving away. I can't get my P6 Pro FPS to work for any fingerprints and I miss the shot. ARGH.....

An hour later we see 20 wild turkeys roaming through thick forest. Same thing happens

Going to delete all my fingerprints and start over again. But for now I'm back on my 13 PM
Can you return as defective? I noticed my husband's phone won't accept my print easily. Nor his. My own works every time no matter how messed up my hands are from housework.

The 6 Pro passed the test my 13 Pro and 13 Pro max failed last time. We returned to the same auditorium for another event and had no issues getting focused pictures and video this time. With the iphone 13 Pro/Pro Max, the focusing system was confused by too many near subjects sitting in the audience and didn't want to focus on people on the stage. It kept shifting focus. The Pixel 6 Pro was not so twitchy like that.

The 6 Pro also passed as a very good telephone. Unfortunately my iphone XR did not. I had to hang up when my dad called me on the Xr and call him back on the Pixel. He was very pleased to converse on the Pixel. Unfortunately 5g wants to eat my battery up. AT&T is awful here.

I am still basically seeing only through one eye. It is not just infection it's an autoimmune flareup of joints and skin which is more complicated to deal with, so I'm not up to participating much right now. I have a hard time keeping up with my chores and errands.

But I did want to say I don't have the migraine issues with this display I had with my 13 Pro. I'm so happy to have this phone as a team with my Iphone XR.

It unfortunately is kind of moot for me to try to contribute to comparisons with the 13 Pro, because using that phone is out of the question. So I am thrilled I don't lose out of having such a capable advanced option such as this phone. Lol so I don't mind going back a few years on iOS.

I do wish I could use Apple Pay on this phone, though. I use Sign in With Apple and Apple Pay on services like Etsy and Ebay.

As far as comparisons to the S21 Ultra go, well I do love that phone, but I like my 6 Pro more. I can count on the camera more. And for me, and of course this is very individual, the fingerprint scanner works much better on the Pixel. I can again transact business on an Android phone. I know others have the opposite experience.
It's still in the Poetic case with built in screen cover. The LK covers arrived today. If I can see well enough, I'll apply one and go back to Spigen and Moment. The Poetic case Is ok. But it's very wide. It makes the phone feel like a tablet. It's terrible to have on when taking a phone call. The one thing I DO love is that there's no edges on the built in screen protector so there's no dust accumulated at the edges of the display. That's one thing I hate about screen protectors that stop short of the edges of displays.

Auto brightness is still a bit twitchy, but the machine learning must be doing its thing because it works better and is tolerable and steadily improving.

I'm still rocking the psychedelic wallpaper @Aneres11 made.

Pixel 6 Pro here. Cant get the thing to charge to 100%. It has been on some kind of charger all day and it is SLOWLY charging. It has been connected to my Apple 61W Macbook charger for an hour while I wait for Google to answer their chat and it has gained 7%. Currently it says "67% Charging Rapidly Full in 1 Day 10 hours" on the lockscreen. Time to test Google's RMA process.

Have you restarted it to see if it’s an issue of the % that is being displayed?

Restarted. Discharged to 0 and recharged. Even factory reset. No change. Have tried a Samsung 25W, Google 18W, and Apple 61W charger. Adaptive Battery and charging are both off and cannot get it to charge correctly. Google has escalated it to their technical department. Love the phone but charging is a critical thing and I just haven't seen the phone hit 100% since taking it out of the box.

Sounds like a bad battery unfortunately. It happens but sucks. I’d just request a replacement.

What kind of cable? Have you tried a cable that's usb c 3.2 gen 2 pd compatible, along with a brick that is as well? It sounds like that's what the problem is.

I've tried the factory cable on the above chargers with no difference. I would think even charging "Rapidly" as the phone is reporting it wouldn't take 12 hours to get to 80%.

I'm not sure what kind of cable it ships with factory, but with a brick I know is compatible, I get normal charging times. I'd suggest you not use the Apple brick, because it's probably a compatibility issue or it could be as simple as the step charging it does (if it does it at all) steps that phone at a very low output. Try a current gen Samsung brick and you likely won't have that problem.

For battery charging, here is the information that is not readily obvious from Google when buying a Google Pixel 6 Pro:

The Pixel 6 Pro supports the USB Power Delivery PPS standard provided over USB-C. This is a less common part of the extended Power Delivery standard that requires specific chargers to work at full speed. USB PD PPS is also used by the Samsung Galaxy S21 series and is supported by a growing range of first and third-party plugs like Anker, Elecjet etc. However this, importantly, means that older Pixel or Android plugs won’t fast charge the Pixel 6 or 6 Pro. Likewise, nor will using any official Apple charger. You’ll need a new compatible plug - this is important to note.

The Pixel 6 & 6 Pro supports up to 22W of power, up from 18W with previous Pixels. Not 30W as many official reviewers expected. You’ll want a more powerful charger to fast-charge as quickly as possible. If you’re into wireless charging, the 6 & 6 Pro supports the Qi standard at up to 23W. The new Pixel 2 stand about to launch will support the 23W.

My advice for the very best Google Pixel charger for the 6 Pro is to buy an official plug. You just can't go wrong with this. Previously, Google has sold 18W and 45W USB-C power adapters with the USB Power Delivery 3.0 spec. While those are perfectly fine for previous Pixels, you’ll need to buy the new Google 30W USB PD 3.0 PPS option to fast charge the Pixel 6 & 6 Pro at full speed. That’s the only model Google sells with the required standard for the 6 / 6 Pro. It’s not too expensive either, priced at £25 in the Google UK store. That's what I'm using to charge my 6 Pro.

With an average of 13W during a full charging session, the Pixel 6 Pro and its 5003mAh battery pack, to reach a 100% charge, it takes roughly 111 minutes. Google has set up the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro to only charge at 22W for the first 50% or 60% or so before tapering it off. This is common, but the tapering seems to be pretty dramatic once it starts, compared to previous Pixels thus the reason it takes longer to fully charge compared to the 5a, 5 & 4/4XL etc.

However, despite this, I'm finding in shortly over 30 minutes of fast charge with the official charger, I can get my 6 Pro to about 75% charge which I reckon is great. It's those last 20/25% of battery charging that takes the longer time, with Google deciding to prolong battery life.

Hope that helps as it's not 100% clear unless you know. I also think the battery charging changes Google has made this year to the Pixel definitely confused some official reviewers when the 6 Pro was launched.

Got a weird bug on my Pixel 6 at the moment where whenever I tap the Google search bar on home screen, it activates the Google Voice Assistant. It just come up with 'listening' rather than the keyboard search.

Really frustrating. It's done this a few times now.

Still loving the 6 Pro, but really want a thin case that actually looks decent!

In other news, got my Bose headphones being delivered today...might make a nice Christmas present for one of my family or friends! :D
What Bose headphones did you get.... I just bought some too 😂😂

They are the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700. The ones from the pre-order offer for the UK.

I've got some of the QC35II ones already, so don't need them and will pass them on I think - either sell them or gift them to someone for Christmas. Nice packaging they turn up in though, well, the box Google ships them in.

Brand name of the case?
It is listed as
For Google Pixel 6 6 Pro 5G 5 4 Luxury Shockproof Fabric Cloth TPU Hybrid Case

So I usually charge overnight and my phone has been great on battery and stuff but I decided last night while I was watching a movie to charge the phone before I went to sleep I got it charged to 92% then turn on DND... not working this week so I slept in a little later and 9 hours and 20 minutes later I see it at 74%.. Hmmm now to troubleshoot haha

Strange! You sure you don't have some setting changed to cause that. I seem to remember my pixel 3 doing that before I found a faulty setting enabled.

------------

Did a quick shot on the way into the office. Before and after, removed the car so nobody blasted me again! 😜

The official Google 6 and 6 pro cases are pretty thin/ lightweight while providing enough protection around the glass.

I just received my stormy black 6 pro case and man does it feel and look good!
