Bought a new car and collected it today (8 hour round trip) and managed to snag some photos of it on the journey home. Pixel 6 Pro, of course ?.

Risked getting ran over taking it haha but whilst the weather was nice thought I'd take advantage.

Back in the eelctric gang. ?

Sorry for the flex :D

It looks like my replacement Pixel 6 did the trick. everything works and maybe it's just a placebo effect but the FPS is 100% and very quick to register my digit and unlock the phone. The camera issue and the sparkle effect are all gone as well. I haven't done the system update yet but will probably tomorrow.

Hopefully no more issues ..smooth sailing the rest of the way

I want to hug that car! I know that’s a weird thing to say about an automobile, but first thought I had was it looked friendly! Congratulations!

Is that the new Honda all electric car? Heard really good things about it, and it's a Honda, rock solid quality :)

How many times did you have to charge it in a 8 hour road trip?

Twice 😁.
30 mins to charge each time to around 90% then I was off again! Good excuse for a coffee and slice of cake though 😋.
Then had to get home and race back out for a work meal!
Ended the day on 38% which is better than expected given the weather and cold temperatures!

Will get some interior pics today for those interested!

Back to Pixel realted chat (apologies to derail).
Sometimes I do wish I had a smaller device. As in a smaller Pixel.
I loved the smaller Pixel 4 and 3 (and 2 and 1 actually haha) and sometimes I find my Pro just unwieldy. Especially walking the dog.

I never did try the Pixel 5. But it looked like a great size. Having said that though, the 4 apparently still outperforms the 5 in bench marks due to the chip, plus has that fantastic face unlock, better haptics and a zoom lens.
I'd say the 4 is still a great but even today.

That’s precisely why I decided to keep and not trade in my Pixel Mini aka Pixel 4a. I do prefer phones with large screens but the Pixel 4a is a pretty small phone by today’s standards.

I’m intrigued by Samsung’s Zen series flip phones and may get one next year (Zen 4) to try out. They look to be the best of both worlds.

I think you have to find a way for that dog to walk himself while you take snap pictures lol. I hear you though. There are plenty of times this phone is a two handed puppy no pun intended..

Haha if I let go of the lead she would be off. 👋🏻
But yeah, smaller phones are my preference. Even the regular 6 isn't quite small enough but it's definitely more one hand friendly.

Yeah small size would be Pixel 5 ..but with P6 specs would make it a nice choice for people ..

My son has the Pixel 5 and I'll play with it here and there to update it and stuff and when I use it I just always think to myself. What a cute little phone So one-handed friendly and comfortable to hold an absolutely use with one hand only.

Then I jump on my Pixel 6 Pro and it feels like I'm holding my desktop PC gaming rig in my hand haha.

But the Pixel 5 had some issues. The earpiece was terrible for phone calls and screen not too bright. But other than that its actually a nice phone and has good battery life.

But to me it's just overall too small of a phone. But I do agree the 6 Pro is too large of a phone. I would like a good middle ground size about 6.3" to 6.5" phone but designed the same way and shape as the Pixel 5, but give it all the high end specs. 120 Hz refresh rate bright screen, lots of memory big battery.

Pixel buds ARRIVED!

I have been too busy to even open the box! I guess they shipped from Chicago area because notification of delivery, to actual delivery was only 2 days. WHY didn't my phone ship from Chicago as opposed to California!!??

I will be sure to issue a review when I have time. Compare audio quality to both generations of Airpods I own (ANC disabled), and some of my favorite regular wired buds.

The camera access button was off under privacy. It’s good now. Thank you. I’m a smart phone dummy! Lol
Privacy is at a whole new level for 12, we are all rookies in this department! Glad it was an easy fix! I got to get my camera working today, 12 inches of snow forecasted today!!

I was waiting for the pixel 6 because I have the 5 and it has worked well, my only concern would be if it truly is water resistant because the pixel 5 was supposed to be and in the first little spring of water it fell on it the mic for the phone didn't work well anymore. Honestly never use it to make calls, hahah, but still is a pain in the butt
Mine fell into a pond (long story and to embarrassed to share). Took me about 30 seconds to a minute to retrieve it.

Still works well, I used a can of air to blow out ports, and put it in a jar of rice overnight as an OCD precaution. Have also since dropped it in the snow (all with a case on). I swear Cases MAKE me drop phones.

I purchased last years Pixel Buds with my Pixel 4a 5G phone and I received a free pair of Pixel Buds Series A. I find last years model for $179 to have a little better bass while the Series A Buds are a little louder. For $99 they are a good buy and for free it’s even better.

I've found a steal on an 'as new' Pixel 4. £125.
I think I'm going to snag it as I'm really intrigued to compare it to my 6 Pro.
With it having a telephoto, I want to test the cameras next to each other to see if there really is a big jump with these new lenses.

Plus at that price I will keep it as a back up and for the times I need a smaller phone.

Will post some comparissons later.

Got the 4.
Just doing all the updates. Currently downloading Android 12. The size is so nice. I do wish the 6 Pro came in two sizes :(.

I took this just now with my 6 Pro. Telephoto lens indoors on a gloomy, rainy day with the lights on.
I love the telephoto on this phone.

This looks just like the dog I had growing up! He was a flat-coated retriever/cocker spaniel mix. Great doggo, full of zoomies!

Damn, that's a cute car! I wish it were sold in the U.S. It gives me Rivian vibes.

Anybody from the uk know Google’s return policy? I’m unclear as to whether they charge a restock fee if you return under change of mind
