Also, I know everyone has talked about the 13 Pro Max battery life being great and I figured it would be but...people werent exaggerating about just how good it is. Its insane. I know Apple does some funny stuff with their battery percentage, but I currently have over an hour of SOT for the day and my battery percentage is at 98%.

Lol even if I was having issues with my Pixel 6 (which luckily, I'm not), you couldn't pay me to use an S21 Ultra again.

MKBHD really can't seem to stop banging on about how great his S21 Ultra is. Didn't he give it like 16 awards at the end of year award thing (exaggeration :p).
We get it, you love the phone!

In Pixel news, the only bug I'm experiencing is the notification blur on my reg 6 as it's still on November.
The Pro is absolutely rock solid. Counting my lucky stars compared to some others experiences.

Yep, the 13 Pro Max battery is shockingly good. That thing is a freaking tank that just won't die.

I listen to folks on here with experience..stopped listening to Marques and his recommendations and ways ..
He's an avid Pixel user, he knows his stuff any with his following maybe it will help Google get their stuff straightened out. This is unacceptable for them to treat their flagship device as a beta testing device.

Battery life is astoundingly good as is the Apple Watch 7. Camera is still fantastic and overall it is smooth and great to use. But man it’s just boring. I’ve made it 4 or 5 days now but I don’t know how much longer I can keep my sim out of my P6P. The watch definitely helps keep me with the 13PM right now along with not having battery anxiety. But not sure how long I can deal with the constant spam calls that aren’t screened. The pixels call screening is the most valuable feature to me on any phone.

yeah same here. He became pretty commercialized. I don't doubt that he has some good insights and opinions.
But in the end it is still just one man's opinion.
My P6 Pro rivals my iPhone in user experience...that counts more than if it has the latest update or not.
I have not had a phone yet that did not have issues. They all do......

I do find it a bit interesting that there seems to be a split of bugged vs not bugged pixel phones almost from every iteration. Maybe I'm confusing bugs with absolute defects (glares at the Nexus 7, pixel 4 XL, nexus 6p, Galaxy nexus in my own collection) while many others have a very fluid experience and basically "iPhone smooth"

Does make me wonder if there are differences in the assembly line or different parts sourced from different areas. I do maintain I got a pretty decent XL 2 still being used, a bit buggy at times but feel more software type then hardware.

Strange how one user can have a great experience and the person behind him getting the next box behind his gets a lemon and they are same software and hardware. Kind of makes me wonder if it's something in the assembly line 🤔

I'm definitely in agreement with getting things sorted out . ..as for Marques I'm sure he's got some good insights but IMO he's changed some things over the years not necessarily for the better ..hey we not on YouTube so kudos to him ..we have our own experiences with Pixels over the years ...

MKBHD knows his ****. But I think over the years he started to aim his videos less at the tech audience and more at the mainstream audience to get more viewers. That and he started to put production quality over content quality IMO. Still has good insight, but his videos don’t contain as much helpful information.

He has bills to pay. So what makes you so special to put him or other people down? Does your toilet input smell like roses?

Popular opinion about people working legitimately to make money is funny.

While at the same time complaining they do not get paid more for no additional improvement our output.

Perhaps this is why employers just offshore everything and anything to save headaches.

First off, who the fook are you?

Second, when did I put him down? I said he’s a knowledgeable guy that’s focused more on reaching a larger audience in recent years rather than catering strictly to a tech audience. I never said there was anything wrong with that.

Don’t project your insecurities on me.

Hi Marques!

Just curious..what do you mean he changed some things over the years?
As a few stated here less techy more for mainstream videos ..I've seen vids that just leave stuff out completely...sometimes you get the follow up on it ..and sometimes you don't...visuals are great and enjoy his YouTube presence and production..I'm a subscriber..I give him props when deserved ..again I'm not the only one that sees a difference but to each their own ..if he can help everyone overall someway it's all good

Imagine if us Pixel enthusiasts on this forum were put in charge of the Pixel production instead. We'd make a stellar Pixel that would actually rival the iPhone. I just don't understand how Sundar is okay with the Pixel line being this embarrassing. Has he no shame? I can tell he is not a neurotic perfectionist. I'd be firing people left and right for the Android 12 mess and the Pixel 6 (Pro) fingerprint sensor.

I hate that I’m piling it on the P6 right now, but has anyone noticed how slow the charging is? Holy **** it’s terrible. On the charger that came with my S21 Ultra, it took the Pixel 6 Pro 45 minutes to go from 85% to 100%. My S21 Ultra would get at least 50% charge in 45 minutes. Probably more.

Strange, isn't it? I had the original Pixel and read with interest the issues that came along with it, as I never had any. When I got my current 3aXL, same. But there seem to be many issues with the Pixel 6s, so I'm holding off, as well as considering a move to iPhone (interested in the 13 Mini, mostly). I hope they get things sorted. They really needed the first gen Tensor stuff to be solid out of the gate for reputation/brand building.

Whats most interesting is that a majority of issues arent Tensor related. I know some people have reported stuttering and dropped frames, but I think thats a small minority. A majority of the issues are with Android 12. But not android 12 in general, just the Pixel OS version.

The only dealbreaker issue that I think cant be fixed is if the cell signal issues are hardware related to the modem being used.

I really like android 12 for the most part. My only issues are the battery life getting worse over the last month. There are definitely some dropped frames when playing games but I can deal with that. I really hope the upcoming update fixes it. I’m already tired of the iPhone. May have to fire up the “old” z fold 3 or S21 Ultra. Even the ZF3 was getting better battery life than what I had been recently getting.

Have you tried a shutdown or restart? Have you checked to see if there is an App running in the background that is eating away at the battery? Battery life on my Pixels (P4a, P4a 5G, Pixel 6) have been pretty good. It comes nowhere close to battery life on my Honor 9X but I really have no complaints about battery life on the P6.

Can anyone that is on the botched December update tell me if it fixed the android auto issues? Seems like android auto disconnects have been a problem for all phones on android 12.
