Material You looks sooooo cool ! :D

And then you get Apple loyalists who come to this forum telling us that Android needs to go away so Apple can be your only choice. No thanks, there are so many things that Android does so much better than Apple.

Totally agree how cool Material You looks. Super fresh and new design.

I hope they'll allow doing themes on non Google apps too.

Looks like it's confirmed these phones will get 5 years of security updates. That's huge and exactly the type of thing you can do when you have control over the chipset.

I think $1,000+. Cheaper than the iPhone 13 Pro Max, and Galaxy S21 Ultra.
OK thanks, for a $1000 i'll have to see if the Google chips put it in line with Apples iPhone 13 PM when it comes to performance and smoothness. I got a chance to play with an iP13PM at Best Buy and it is buttery smooth. I'm curious to see how close Google can get to that for a $1000.

My son has the Pixel 5, and that phone is smooth as ice. Zero lag never stutters. And the new Pixel 6 is said to be 80% faster than the P5.

I would expect the Pixel 6 Pro to easily be as smooth as the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Plus it will use the same Samsung supplied LTPO veriable 120hz display.

And camera wise. LOL no competition to the iPhone camera, which is mediocre at least for Portrait mode. Like my iPhone 12 Pro Max, the camera on this 12 PM blows, it’s take garbage pics compared to my Pixel 5a.

Not sure if this is what people were referring to in the now dead leak link, but here’s more…!

You might prefer the Pixel photos and on the whole, perhaps the majority would agree. But statements saying it's "garbage" and it "blows" just invalidate what you're saying.

There is no mention of a Qualcomm modem. Unfortunately looks like they are getting the Exynos modem. There are enough threads out there on the S21 Exynos models having worse cellular performance vs the Snapdragon. Hard pass for me if ultimately true.

Surely you are kidding and just being a typical Android fanboy baby when it comes to the iPhones cameras. The iPhone cameras are consistently rated as high if not higher than Samsung and the Pixel devices. And comparing photos from sites around the internet prove that. Its ok not to like Apple and their products but to spew lies is not. Grow up.

No fanboy whatsoever here. No lies. I have proof with my own eyes, that my iPhone 12 Pro Max takes pretty poor Portrait and night time photos, compared to the Pixel 5. FACT.

Last couple weeks would have both phones on me, and take similar shots at night in Portrait mode, and it's clearly better on the Pixel camera. Like a significant difference. The light bleed and washed out blurry look is what my 12 PM gives me, and the Pixel 5 gives very clear detailed sharp pics, with zero light bleed, zero blurriness.

At first I thought I broke the camera lenses or something on the iPhone, but then tried my Brother's iPhone 12 Pro and same results, the light bleed and blurriness.

Now videos that's a whole different story, the iPhone totally destroys the Pixel there. And day time photos in non Portrait mode are great on the iPhone.

13 Pro seems to do a better job with portraits than my 12 Pro Max did. It’s definitely showing the S-type refinements. Should have been 12s instead of 13. But I’m still getting a lot of blurry photos in low light. I have done a lot of comparing of 12 Pro Max and 13 Pro with the 12 mini and I think non-lidar focusing seems faster. But what I get with LiDAR is more accurate fake bokeh blur.

Edited to add: Blurry results are indeed frustrating and I’d consider them “garbage photos” because I’ve no choice but to bin them. So in that sense, if Tig wants to say he’s getting garbage photos on a non iPhone thread, I personally am shrugging it off.

Please excuse the messed up formatting of this post as something went wrong when I tried to correct something.

Good post.

My point was just specifically photos taken at night in Portrait mode are rather poor on my iPhone 12 Pro Max, but daytime pics and videos are great.

Yep and I totally got your point. You’ve been speaking in curmudgeonly off the cuff hyperbole for all the years that I’ve been here. If you were to ever stop, I’d frankly be a bit alarmed and inquire about your health! 😆

Apple fanboy here....I have a house full of Apple products and have had every iPhone since the first one. I upgrade every year.
I have the iPhone 13 PM and S21 Ultra and Pixel 4 XL.
I feel the S21 ultra and iPhone 13 PM are pretty close camera wise. iPhone does better video. But the S21U has better overall camera because of the zoom.
Then the Pixel 4 XL really holds it own too even with suboar hardware compare to the S21U and iPhone 13 PM.
