I had forgotten about the Pixel Stand. Also would like to pick one up too, where possible.
I wonder if it’ll be sold exclusively with Google, or if it’ll be in other retailers too like Argos, John Lewis etc.

Locally, Minnesota, Pixel 6 Pro was available in a few variations for launch day pickup at Best Buy (a Minnesota company). Today I am noticing that Stormy, and Cloudy White Verizon models are the only units available for launch day. All others, except for the Pixel 6 in Sorta seafoam 129gb (what I ordered through Google) are no longer available for pickup on launch day.

Seems to be continued validation that these phones are selling well.

Looks like I could still get a Stormy Pro on launch week from AT&T if I chose to but will not. For whatever reason ATT (even figuring in taxes) is more expensive than everyone else.

For instance I paid $643 for my preorder from Google, had I wanted to order the same phone through AT&T, they want $794. That is an additional $151 for what?

Has anyone ordered a Dbrand skin yet for their Pixel? If so, which colors did you get? I think I change the skin on my phones every 2-3 months.

So far, I don’t see any Google brand accessories in those stores including CPW and Curry’s.

The G force is not very strong at this side of pond.

I am drooling over AT&T early delivery for phone in US.

Ordered from Vodafone on pre-order day and it only seems that delivery will be on 28th after confirming with customer service.

I’m sure John Lewis used to sell the original Pixel Stand, but I could be wrong. Same with Curry’s.
I am just thankful we still get their devices sold here and they come out the same time as America.
Previous Pixels used to be out in USA shortly after announcement, and UK used to get them up to a month after!

I’ll have a look out for JL and Curry’s in future. Yeah, we are kinda lucky in that sense that pixels are launched and available same day here.
I was not aware that we were receiving late here.

I been in passion fruit forest for last 8 years and this is the time for a big jump

I want to. Lol I’ve always wanted to try their skins on various phones.

I’ve put their skin on the camera bump on my S21 Ultra. But I don’t have the confidence I can put it on the phone itself very well. I also don’t know if it’s bad for the seals to heat the phones up.

Mine is a UK order and can no longer cancel it, which suggests it will be shipping soon. Still have 26th as the delivery date.

Cancelled my 30w charger order (which was separate). Didn't realise the Pixel stand 2 I plan to buy comes with one. I'll have to be quick to buy one though when they're available with how fast every other Pixel & case has sold.
Just checked status and I can not cancel now either. Must likewise be getting ready to despatch. Yay 😀

Thinking about the orders (Google store ones anyway) - it makes sense for them to be delivered Tuesday / Wednesday.

Embargo lifts Monday and now orders cannot be cancelled, so if reviews are shocking (doubtful) then people are locked in haha.

Be nice if that were the case, and it extended to other retailers (Curry's for me) but I definitely think 26/27th is likely for Google direct especially!

Exciting times!

I tried telling you guys that both panels looked good and there wasn’t a whole lot separating the two, especially it being a $300 difference. Haha, carry on. :)
You really don't know that their is not a lot separating the two until the reviews are in.
I personally wanted the red pixel, if there is not a huge difference I can just return the pro and get on waiting list for red regular pixel.

Waiting for "notifications are 3 seconds after my iPhone"
And the other popular one... "I can't function without my Apple Watch".
:D
Been daily driving my Pixel 3 with my main SIM installed (for the past 1.5 years it had my secondary Mint sim). Still livid that Apple or ATT patched their system to prevent number sharing with a cellular watch while your main SIM is in an Android phone, but, have been happy so far as it has been attaching to most WIFI networks without issue as I move around.

I am fine with it being kinda wifi only, mainly want it for receiving iMessages until I make a decision on subscribing to Beeper, or work out some other iMessage forwarding trick. Still livid at Apple for not supporting RCS, it would solve all my problems but oh well. I chose to buy into their walled garden didn't I ;) .

I’m definitely showing my age now. I’m 33, but Snapchat and TikTok have totally passed me by and I couldn’t give less of a ****. I just don’t ’get’ it. And don’t want to. Grumpy old man club here I come!

Off topic;

I feel the same, apps like Instagram, Tik Tok, Snapchat, Twitch, etc… steal our souls, and are total time wasters and just bad for society. Especially instagram for young girls. All those apps are useless, in my opinion.

Anyways, my shipment date hasn’t moved.

See Insta and FB I use but I use them for my business. If those apps didn’t exist, I wouldn’t have a business! It’s only a small cake business I do part time, but it’s been a success for over a year now since I started last August and I exclusively use Instagram and FB to promote and sell, so I am glad those ones exist for that purpose!

I actually like Instagram, well at least my personal account. I follow photographers I know, or simply want to follow, and learn new photography techniques for my mirrorless, SLR, and old film cameras. Hell I even learn new tricks for my phone photography.

Social media isn't bad in all, like these forums, it depends on who you follow, and how much time you devote to it, and if you are using the tool to learn and collaborate, or just mindlessly scroll.

It's painful to see sooooooo many people in their 30s or older using lame Snapchat filters. Thought it was aimed at 13 year olds. And I'm not bothered about finding 2 seconds of fame on tik tok.

I get what @Tig Bitties means about Instagram and young girls. It's toxic for young people and I can't stand the influencer/big lip brigade. 😂 But I do like Instagram for tech/sport/photography. Stick to what you like and it's quite interesting.

Back to the Pixel, I'm fully expecting it to ship tomorrow and be in my hands on Tuesday. Is there a specific time when the embargo lifts tomorrow?

I really wanted to see if they had screen protectors [for the Google Pixel 6 Pro], but of course they didn’t. I’ve ordered some Supershieldz film ones to try but I would prefer glass if I can find good ones. And even the film ones are not getting here until several days after the phones are due.

My Pixel Buds arrived. To my surprise they are white. I thought the white ones had run out of stock when my husband ordered my phone.

GM, do you think a flat tempered glass screen protector would work on the Google Pixel 6 Pro? Or, will it need to have a curve on the edges in order to completely cover the screen?

The curve is probably large enough to make a flat screen protector a messy proposition, attracting lint in the field of view. I personally would not attempt it. I’d go with a decent film one or let it go naked and make sure my carrier insurance covers any damage. I’m not sure what Google covers.
