You really don't know that their is not a lot separating the two until the reviews are in.
I personally wanted the red pixel, if there is not a huge difference I can just return the pro and get on waiting list for red regular pixel.
But the question becomes is the Pixel 6 a vastly inferior phone costing $300 less, because that’s what’s being suggested? I have seen both and I say the Pixel 6 is a great choice and there isn’t anything that says, “stay away from this phone and buy the 6 Pro”.

This was a great video.
Makes me even more excited for Pixel 6 / Android 12! I love the look of it.

Holy batman with lockscreen clock Google lol.. Can we make it any larger... I'm not 100% on this new design.. I played with the phones again today and had exclusive time with them.. It's nice and all but they need to open up some customization...

It's painful to see sooooooo many people in their 30s or older using lame Snapchat filters. Thought it was aimed at 13 year olds. And I'm not bothered about finding 2 seconds of fame on tik tok.

I get what @Tig Bitties means about Instagram and young girls. It's toxic for young people and I can't stand the influencer/big lip brigade. 😂 But I do like Instagram for tech/sport/photography. Stick to what you like and it's quite interesting.

Back to the Pixel, I'm fully expecting it to ship tomorrow and be in my hands on Tuesday. Is there a specific time when the embargo lifts tomorrow?
Ugh. I had to finally give permission for my 17 year old to open an Instagram. It was the only way for her to keep in touch with friends who went to different schools. Only her friends whom we know or know enough about are allowed on it and she’s to keep it private. I hope it will be okay.

She does have the benefit of having seen how Facebook destroyed my relationships and peace of mind. o_O

At first it was just a fun way to catch up with friends and family living in other states the first year I was on it. I loved it! But the environment changed dramatically. Oh well that’s water under the bridge.

Sometimes instagram intrigues me. I mean, I wouldn’t mind looking at pictures of cakes! 😬

Oh wow there’s a Pixel commercial right now on TV during the Football game! Google had better make some more Pixels!

My husband just checked. Our delivery dates haven’t changed nor our statuses but we can’t cancel.

Yeah, I'm big fan of Android 12, it's fresh, new, and fun. Brings some excitement to the smartphone.

Seriously Apple needs to freshen up iOS already, feels stuck like in 2010. Apple would make a killing, mega million$ if they opened a theme store, just grabbing a % of purchases from icon packs and themes on the App Store, would make them bank.

I think they will in iOS 16 or 17.

I still have my iPhone 12 Pro Max, just using it as a WiFi device at home.

But I have to admit, dang the build quality and display tech truly are AMAZING. So top of the line feeling.

And dark mode with apps set to black look fantastic. Safari with Dark Reader extension is super cool.

My point, I hope the Pixel 6 Pro feels as high quality and has a similar good display.

Right, and in iOS 25 you’ll be able to place the icons the way you like on the home screen.

LOL

Good point iOS feels stuck in the tech Stone Age still with insane things like that. Let me place an app icon anywhere I feel like it. WTF. Without needing to resort to silly tricks like clear spaces app widget to fake the wallpaper pushing the icons down. That’s just beyond ridiculous. LOL

You didn't want to place them higher ? Can you help a brother out bring them down closer? Lmao

Exciting to see dispatches!
I don't think I've ever known a thread in this section of the forum be so full of excitement and engagement.
It's so great to see and I hope that the reviews tomorrow hype people further, and not dampen people's excitement in any way.
😁

One thing I haven't heard or even rumored yet, is the battery life on the Pixel 6 line?

I have no idea what to expect? Amazing iPhone 13 Pro Max type battery life? Or are these new phones power hungry and will give mediocre Pixel 4 XL type battery life?

I'd be very satisfied of they're on par with my Pixel 5a, which gets tremendous battery life.

I can't remember which reviewer said it in their 24 hours hands on, but they said...

The Pixel 6 Pro is the only 120hz Android phone that can rival the iPhone 13 PM in battery life. It's exceptional.

I too am really happy with Android 12. It's one of the reasons that I'm able to daily drive Android on an older phone again. Don't get me wrong, I love my new iOS release as well, some of the hidden drag and drop features make my photo library work with social media for clients a lot easier than it was before. But, would really love to have side by side like we have on Android, and in freaking iPad OS!.

Pixel 6 is the wrong name for Google's new phones;

This might be one of the few times in recent memory a tech product has lived up to the hype. Having used both of the phones now (albeit very briefly), I can say this: these are the Pixels I've been waiting for. I've written before about how Google has continuously shot itself in the foot ever since the first Pixel in 2016, but that ends now. The new Pixels and especially the Pixel 6 Pro -are finally at the point where I might be ready to buy one for myself. I have never thought this about a Pixel phone. Ever.

Ordered a temporary case for my Pixel 6, and a glass screen protector as a starter show-and-tell setup. Was really hard finding a screen protector that didn't have a hole punch for the camera, something I absolutely hate! I never have an issue with the camera being covered, and the hole-punch on all phones (iPhones included) always collected dust and pocket lint which occluded the lens and was hard to clear out.

Hoping the screen protector doesn't make the fingerprint sensor act up!
