Curve is no issue to me.. Kinda reminds me of my loved Note 10+ and weight as well...
Technically speaking, the edge of my Pixel 3 screen is curved, the iPhone 6 - 8 screens had curved edges, so did the X - 11 iPhones. All did okay with screen protectors, and while the curve did make the protectors subject to edge chipping, I have yet to severely chip or scratch the screens of those devices.

I’ll be honest in the fact that I haven’t had much experience with Google Pixel phones before this last week. I’ve always heard really great things and expected it to be a great experience, but what I got with the Google Pixel 6 Pro really exceeded my expectations.

The design won’t be for everyone but it’s certainly striking. On the front, you’re met with a 6.7″ QHD+ 120hz display, which is one of the most stunning phone displays that I’ve seen, right up there with the iPhone 13 Pro. As with other smart phones, the Pixel Pro 6 is able to toggle its refresh rate up or down depending on the content that you’re viewing to save battery. The display curves ever so slightly around the front, which makes for a futuristic feeling device.

I spent some more time with these phones over the weekend in the store and I'm torn again on which to go with. The regular 6 is an amazing deal at $599 and isn't THAT much worse than the Pro. I don't use the zoom a ton on my iPhone and will still keep it so I'm not sure the zoom is a must have on the pixel. Then again, on the other hand the Pro has those nice little extras and I do like having the best of the best.

To me the regular 6 is more like a traditional Pixel in look and feel, and the Pro is like a high end Samsung, but running the cleaner (more stock) version of Android, which is what many of us had hoped Samsung/Google would bring back. It really does feel like a Note.

I've ordered cases and screen protectors for both phones, just in case. I bought LK brand screen protectors and got in on that deal from Verizon for the official cases for the Pixels.

My plan right now is to watch a ton of videos once the embargo lifts and see if that helps my decision at all.
You gotta go pro. I think the Pixel 6 is a great phone for the price but not for 2021. 1080 and only a 90hz refresh rate and the thick side bezels seem sort of meh to me. Now gimme 1440, 120hz and a battery that runs for potentially 2 days and let's play! Besides, I'm always one step ahead - better resale value down the road if the S22 Ultra is killer :p

I mainly go without a SP but willing to test drive one if good..

Should you buy it?

Yes. The Pixel 6 Pro is an amazing phone, especially given the surprisingly low $900 price, and I’m happy to recommend it to anyone. Frankly, it’s the first Pixel that has felt like a real no-compromise flagship since the original model debuted in 2016. Google’s finally taking phones seriously, and while it’s a joke that they had to count to 6 before the company could stop making dumb and easily avoided mistakes, I’m glad we’re here now. There’s no inexplicably crappy screen, bathtub notch, gimmicky gestures, or mid-range parts masquerading as a flagship phone. The Pixel 6 Pro is the real deal, and I think it’s the best premium Android phone you can buy right now.

Wow, that last sentence is a very strong statement with devices like the S21 Ultra and Z Fold 3 on the market. Can't wait till my 6 Pro arrives.

Skimmed through a bunch of reviews, and most are saying the battery life on the 6 Pro is good, but I'm not hearing it's amazing or super awesome battery? That does have me a little worried.

Also I haven't seen reviews on the regular Pixel 6?

Well so far it does not appear the Pixel is going to crush the iPhone 13 with regards to the camera. I have watched several comparisons and they are both pretty equal on photos with a slight edge to the Pixel but video and the front facing camera goes to the iPhone. Honestly I was thinking the Pixel's new camera hardware with Google's voodoo processing would make it the clear champion but it appears Apple is pretty good at computational photography too. The good news is you can't go wrong with either one when it comes to the cameras. There are still things I am very interested in though with the Pixel's including Android 12. Can't wait for mine to get here.

Yeah, most seem to be saying the battery is solid on the 6 Pro, few saying it lasts then the whole day. The reviews are not having the battery as number 1 talking point. I think we will be fine with 5003mAh on the 6 Pro but I’d like to see the battery comparison videos against the 13 Pro Max which is a battery beast.

Here is a regular Pixel 6 review, very decent in its own right by the sounds of it…

They are out there. Search the Google news section not YouTube which tends to feature more of their high paid clickbait video producers. I have also had luck using Bing news search.

Actually using something other than a Google product to search for honest reviews may be the best bet . :p

I didn’t have to hear a damn thing about clicking a bell or subscribing ;) .

This is for the 6 not Pro.

On our battery test, the standard Pixel 6 posted an outstanding time of 18 hours and 56 minutes, which is the second best time we’ve seen from any phone this year, right behind the iPhone 13 Pro Max (19:30). And while the Pixel 6 Pro wasn’t quite as impressive, lasting 16:45, it tied the Galaxy S21 Ultra while handily beating the OnePlus 9 Pro (13:54), and others.
