Pixel 6 Pro Beat iPhone 13 pro max in photo no question ask... all review would agree

Most of the photos I've seen kind of depends on the scenario. Apple absolutely needs to fix their awful skin tone representation though, I think the orange face and low-light "red face" generation of photos are long overdue to be fixed. But, as of right now, I'd say it's pretty darn close and I imagine Google is going to be far more proactive in correcting the launch flaws of processing than Apple is. In fact, I'm willing to guess whatever tweaks need to be made to compete won't be seen until IOS 16 and iPhone 14.

I have to say that I am disappointed, I feel like the pixel 5 was better in some ways, the size was just perfect and that front panel ... I cannot stop gushing about it, small symmetrical bezels, now there is no small sized phone anymore, both the pixel 6 and 6 pro are BIG, the only thing that I think is does better design wise is the centered punch hole.

Yes I know that the pixel 6 is 600 euro, but still pretty much no one is doing 90 hz in the android world anymore for phones that cost over 300 euro, also to use a worse selfie camera than the pixel 6 pro, not cute.

The pixel 6 pro with that overly curved screen... they should take inspiration from samsung, they are doing it perfectly now, a slight curve without distorting the image.

The fingerprint scan seems to not be great :(

I feel like google knows that the iPhones and the top of the line galaxies are still better than their phones, that's why they went with lower prices, not because they wanted to give us a good deal.

3 Years of OS updates, I thought Qualcomm was the one to blame before, what is your excuse now google? Do better

Also surprised by the camera not being massively better despite the highly improved hardware, I think that we might have reached a plateau, it's just physics, the sensors on phones are just tiny, the iPhone 13 pro is no different.

I do want to say a couple of nice things though, for me google's take on android is still the best mobile operating system, I just love it so much and I'm also happy to see BIG batteries on both the pixel 6 and the pixel 6 pro.

Sorry about the rant, I just got tired of rooting for the pixel.

It's here!

I only ordered it yesterday. As it was a spur of the moment purchase I didn't buy my cases etc from amazon until yesterday too, they will be here tomorrow.

Initial impressions of the hardware for the Pixel 6 are excellent. It's a solid well built phone and it feels premium, it's a massive step up from the Pixel 5 of last year.

The phone is currently downloading apps and doing its thing so I'm leaving it be until its done. I did have a little play and it's that same old Pixel experience for me, smooth and clean. The fingerprint scanner works well, without a screen protector may I add - I'll be fitting one tomorrow so we'll see if that effects use.

The screen with only the 90hz panel is nice and smooth, the difference between it and my 13 Pro is negligible, not enough of a difference to be concerned about. As for clarity, I must say that there is a difference between the 1080p screen and my wife's Note 20 Ultra on 1440p. It's not massive but it's noticeable - to me. Again, not something that should bother you, it's still plenty sharp enough.

OK, thats my apps downloaded, time to play

Still no updated shipment for me. Still states she as original, Oct 30 - Nov 2.

Seems you European guys getting them sooner.

This is the kind of comparison I like. I paused it before their opinions, to pick which one I liked better.
Pixel wins in daylight shots, while the Iphone is better at portraits and night shots. Apple really progressed with their software implementation. I’m surprised at how Google has fallen behind.

seems the tensor is decent but not as good as the 888 and nowhere near apple.

hearing lag is some games and the regular pixel being a little dimmer, I'm not caught up in the hype anymore... too old

Will wait for Floss for the real review.

The funny stuff about all these photo comparisons is if you go on social media and post two photos you will have so many different views and opinions as to which photo is better. At the end of the day you have to try yourself but if it's good for you that's most important. There is no perfect phone and that every shot comes up as you expected including conditions and user.

Cancel button disappeared for me last night, but still not shipping. Again, I had strange phenomenon with shipping notices for all Google purchases I have completed. Checking my old notes / posts on here.

  1. My Pixel 2 changed to "Shipping" the day it arrived
  2. My free Google Home Mini listed as "Ordered" up to 2 days after I received it, then went directly to "Delivered".
  3. My Pixel 3 somehow shipped next day when I never selected that as an option.
Google is all over the place lol.

I tend to read one or 2 articles from sources I respect, and will watch 1 or 2 videos from random YouTube (low follower) accounts, and close out with today's All About Android podcast.

I enjoy discovery on my own, and like to make my own opinions on the devices. What joy is there in receiving a device when you have the cognitive load of second guessing it due to what some celebrity reviewer's opinion?
