The 1.0.1 update is just to fix the 'min' 'min' issue on the blue skin and a crash that occurs if you turn off animated icons and then try to view certain locations. The bigger 1.1 version is still being worked on.

We have found the source of the sprinkles/drizzle problem and will update that as soon as we can. Basically we were using the extended 7 day forecast instead of the non-extended one. You might say how stupid of us, but Custom Weather themselves didn't provide the non-extended one to us, so we are in the process of organising that with them. As soon as we can get hold of it we'll update the server and your forecasts should magically become a lot more accurate. The confusing thing is sometimes the extended 7 day forecast is the same, sometimes it isn't. Hence why it was apparent in some locations and not in others.

Finally to the person who asked for a 'real feel or feels like temp' we already have that it's called 'Apparent Temp' (or 'App Temp' for short in some skins). That's the temperature once you take into account wind chill and other factors :)

MacMeUp,

Thank you for looking into the drizzle problem. I'm getting tired of lugging around this umbrela in 100 degree heat!

One other issue I notice is that even though I have setup all my settings to english units (i.e. F, Miles, Inches)....the app displays pascals for the pressure. Typically we use inch of mercury here in the US.

I thought App Temp stood for the temperature at which the app is running. :p
On a serious note, it would never occur to me that App Temp was short for Apparent Temperature, more like Approximate Temperature. Not the best abbreviation, I have to say.

Wow sorry I missed that, thought it was something different because it was the same temp as the current temp. Thanks & I just left you a review at the itunes store.

Not sure if this is an anomaly or a problem with the updated blue skin, but a temperature over 100 doesn't display correctly for the "max" temp. It just shows "..." after max.

For example, the application displays this for the next week...

Monday min 75 max...

Tuesday min 75 max...

Wednesday min 77 max 98

Thursday min 68 max 90

etc...

Hope I'm describing this clearly, I'm a little tired. :)

Point taken on the app temp abbreviation.

As for pressure, while we wait for you guys to join the rest of the world with your units of measurement, we'll update it so you can see it in imperial ;)

I thought it meant the temperature of the App Store...lol Kidding.

Anyone else having the "max..." problem from my above post? It only seems to be a problem in the blue theme.

Two quick things. The sprinkles aren't fixed yet, we are waiting on Custom Weather to enable our access to the other file I was talking about, and the max thing we are aware of (it's to do with 3 digit temperatures).

Funnily enough when it was 'min' 'min' there were no problems with 3 digit temperatures (we tested them all), but of course 'max' is a bit wider than 'min' so now it gets cut off. You fix one bug you cause another...aye aye aye ;)

Well, great work! You have helped me to improve my knowledge about this field. Thank you so much for sharing.

Crap, I had an idea for this app back in May using the push for the badge icon temperature. I just wasn't sure where I could pull my data from without having to pay a ton.

Crap I had this idea for a revolutionary touch screen device 3 years ago but I wasn't sure how to..... LOL ;)

Oh I know how to...I just didn't know where to pull the data from.

I'm not trying to be a whiny dbag, I'm just glad that someone made it because I think it's a great idea. When I was first looking into it I was going to make it free but once I read into how push notifications work, you have to host most everything yourself which would make it too expensive.

I have this awesome idea for a 10" tablet device...*I kid* *I kid*

There's a reason it's not free, servers and weather data cost money. I guess we're just glad you didn't file a patent for 'notification system of current weather conditions based on application badge' before we did ;)

An update on the drizzle thing, we're still trying to sort it out with Custom Weather, but don't despair, we haven't forgotten you all :)

Any previews of 1.1?

Any previews? Not currently, we'll just have to tease you and say 'coming soon'.

Thanks for the email Tracey, it was the kind of email we love, it had detailed information as well as screenshots of the problem. The other half of our coding team is looking into it at the moment. For those of you not familiar with our team I code the iPhone client, while a guy who goes by the code name 'geekygecko' does the back end server work. He can see that there's a problem and he's just fixing it now :)

Wanted to post a follow up to my previous posts on this thread. First, sorry if I came across as rude, unhappy, nasty an idiot etc. etc. :D Didn't mean too, as I do like the app, but the forecast being well, "off", to the extreme had me pretty annoyed. (yeah, yeah, I know, it's only a couple bucks, but still....).

Anyway, I have no idea what happened. I have changed nothing, but something must have changed somewhere. I live in the Lehigh Valley area of PA, and for the past few days the forecast info has been spot on. In fact, a bit more accurate than even the weather channel app, which is usually pretty solid here.

Again, just a follow up. Looking forward to radar though, as I use that quite often in other things. Keep up the good work........

Glad to hear it! :)

Part of what happened is that we have been busy fixing all sorts of issues at our end in the last few days. While we tested quite a few locations it's impossible for us to test all 60,000+ of them, and we've been tweaking and improving things as we do more testing and get emails from you guys. This issue that Tracey is having should be the last major one hopefully, then we can resume making the best weather app on the planet :)
