Oh I missed you guys talking about me :p

my issue turned out to be my local station being stuck, it's resumed telling me it's hot. Like yesterday it was 95 with a heat index of 105. I'm thinking the 82.4 was better? This however happens at this station, and once I knew where it was reporting from it became a non-issue. The web side was using a different station which complicated the issue.

I have to say, again, that these guys are great and responsive.

My two pending requests for the future is the radar and now telling somewhere the reporting station. Our weather can be so strange here that my 105 heat index yesterday was only 100 at the station around the lake about 10 miles.

Anyway, keep up the great work!

It looks very promising, I really want to try it out! I think I'll wait until the next update has been approved before I make the plunge. I have been looking for a decent weather app, and this looks like the one!

when are you going to have the radar up and running?

thanks

I know you guys are keen to see this, but we've already answered this question on the previous page. We do this in our spare time, so updates take time. We are working on it, and realistically it's still a few weeks away :)

I know you're probably thinking about this, but please, don't clutter up the UI with radar most people won't use or can't even understand. I love your app because it's so simple, so please make sure adding radar won't make it less usable. Maybe a toggle switch to even see the radar?

For those that can't bare to read page 3 before they get to page 7

 :p

You can relax my friend. We have over a years worth of experience in another weather app (Pocket Weather AU) that has been in the Australian top 100 since it launched over a year ago. Last time I checked it was rated 4.5 stars.

We do radar the right way, eg: it isn't running in the background or on a tab, it's a simple button on the forecast that you click if you want to see it. If you don't you don't have to worry, it's not going to do anything to the app as it is currently.
Here's what it looks like in the Australian version:

Well, you should be happy that I bought the app based on the first post of the thread rather than needing to sift through seven pages. It's great so far.

My only complaint would be the icon. It looks very out of place and un-apple-ish. Maybe something simpler/more aesthetically pleasing? Again, I don't know if this was already suggested in the previous pages, I simply just don't have the time to read it all right now.

does anyone notice if your battery drains quicker by having the push activated for the temperature on the badge?

I have been using this app for over a week now and I must say its one of the best weather apps out there imo. Anyone else care to share your experience with this app?

I'm a trained severe storm spotter and weather enthusiast, thus always on the lookout for the latest and greatest weather app. Pocket Weather is a winner and earned a spot on my Home screen. The addition of radar should make it the "must have" premier weather app.

My feature requests are:

Add BOM and for Australia, so BOM radar can be viewed and local stations can be used.
If BOM is added have weather warnings pushed to us when relevant to our area

Those features would make this app amazing. I know your other app has BOM but I wanted worldwide weather because I travel a lot.

Ok quick update: Pocket Weather AU 2.0 took a few weeks longer than we thought it would to finish, but it was submitted to Apple late last week. Why do you care? Because it means we start working on Pocket Weather World 1.1 tomorrow :)
As promised it will have radar, push warnings, a few other tweaks and maybe even a new icon. Any other feature requests? I'm not saying we'll add them, but it's nice to get some feedback?

As for combining PWAU and PWW we really want to, but it's not that easy to do data wise or contractually. So if you live in Australia you can either buy both, or use some other app for your world weather. That may sound like a cash-grab on our part, but it's really not.
