Yup. According to the site, tomorrow will be 'Sunny. Hot.' According to the app, tomorrow is 'Sunny. Drizzle.' It's been that way for the past few days, with not a cloud in the sky.

I'm having the same "Sunny Hot" and "Sunny Drizzle" issue here in Texas. This inaccuracy only occurs for me with the "Sunny Hot" forecast though. The forecast for the rest of the week is spot on (which doesn't include any Sunny Hots).

Sunday: Passing Clouds. Light Rain.

It has been like that since purchasing the app the day it came out... It is never cloudy, and never rains in Phoenix... In fact, if you just predicted "HOT" every day, you'd be more accurate than this application...

Oh I agree, however, the fact that it is pretty much useless at this point, is rather frustrating. I bought the app on a whim, thought it looked excellent, and it does, however, this stuff should have been worked out before it was released as a finished product.

Well, if the weather isn't correct in your area, that doesn't mean that the app isn't a finished product. The weather is correct in my area...

So how is the app not a finished, TESTED product? There are a few posts in here regarding inaccuracy including mine. I just purchased the app a few days ago in good faith, figuring it looked decent. What good is it to me if it's telling me it's raining or cloudy outside when in fact it's sunny and beautiful? Sorry, a weather app shouldn't work correctly only in certain areas.

Glad it's working for you, but don't tell me it's a finished product when the buyers\users are obviously part of a beta test.

Hi All,

Thanks for bringing up the drizzle issue and giving us specific locations to look at. We'll look into it and get back to you. For those of you that just said things like 'Texas' please try to be more specific and give us the exact location you've chosen.

The good news is that should there be any problems with the feed we are using (or the way we interpret it) we can fix those without having to push any kind of update out through Apple. At the end of the day we are at the mercy of the people who provide our forecast (www.customweather.com), but there may well be an issue, we'll let you know. We found one such issue over the weekend and have already corrected it, so we're on the job.

On the min/max thing we'll see if we can provide that as an option in the next version. The same goes for turning landscape mode off/on.

Finally please just take a deep breath and relax. You're not our beta testers, your our valued users, and $2.99 is not a fortune to spend on an application. I'm sure some of you spend more on coffee or chocolate during the week. Having said that we still aim for the highest levels of quality, but being polite and reporting issues that you have is going to get you a lot further than stomping up and down and yelling EPIC FAIL internetz style ;)

Edit: Our designer is away at the moment, so I can't promise that the night time icons will make it into the next release. We have non-animated versions of them already, but no animated ones.

We'll continue to monitor this thread, so feel free to keep giving us your feedback, or alternatively email us at support@shiftyjelly.com

Dear developer -

I was walking down the street and got splashed by a car going through a puddle but YOUR APP said "dry." EPIC FAIL. You suck. Please try to predict such events in future versions.

Thanks!

Well, I'll prove my point. I live in Stanley, Virginia. It's near Luray where the Luray Caverns are. Neither Stanley nor Luray are reporting correct weather at all for days and days. So I switched over the Harrisonburg, which is about on line to where I live, and everything works perfectly. If cities don't report correctly, it's not the app doing it. The app displays only what the cities report.

Tons of rain makes me laugh as well, as does sprinkles. Do people in America seriously use the word 'sprinkles'?

Can we have weather icons in the high visibility skin? Probably not, but we may have a large-ish skin somewhere down the track with weather icons. The high vis one is designed for people that are slightly vision impaired or more likely to use in situations where you need the current temp and high really quick, without any distractions.

When is 1.1 due? I'd say if you take into account Apple's 2 week approval time then it's at least a month away. There's only two of us programming this in our spare time (we work 40 hours a week on other stuff) so sometimes it takes time. To give you an example Pocket Weather AU went through 5 major revisions in a year. So one update every 2 or so months seems about the right space on time.

Also thanks to all those that emailed us with their specific weather data. We'll get onto it as soon as we can. It's Sunday night here in Oz, which is generally our day off, but you can expect an answer early this week :)

How about putting in the text for heavy rain, as in torrential downpour, to read:

Raining Cats and Dogs.

That would really make me lol. :D

That would have been appropriate last night as my kids told me i was soaked and needed to change my clothes... and i walked 15 feet in the rain from the car to the door. UGH.

And yup, weather people on TV even use Sprinkles :D

You can relax my friend. We have over a years worth of experience in another weather app (Pocket Weather AU) that has been in the Australian top 100 since it launched over a year ago. Last time I checked it was rated 4.5 stars.

We do radar the right way, eg: it isn't running in the background or on a tab, it's a simple button on the forecast that you click if you want to see it. If you don't you don't have to worry, it's not going to do anything to the app as it is currently.
Here's what it looks like in the Australian version:

BOUGHT as soon as I said this! LMAO. You're awesome.

PS. only a little and trivial suggestion but I'd prefer it if the High's and Lo's were switched around. I'm used to the High's being on the left (or top) and the Lo's being on the right (or bottom).

NOT A HUGE DEAL .. lol.

I bought this & like the app as it appears to have potential but right now the weather info is still kind of basic. Looks real nice but basic.PW Australia looks nice & I hope this app ends up like that. One minor feature I'd like to see is the real feel or feels like temp.

Now I'm trying to decide between buying MyWeather Mobile ,Fizz Weather or Weather Pro. Anyone have any opinions on these?
