I hope this poll will give us all a better overview.

I personally haven't noticed any improvement. My battery life actually seems a bit worse, however I haven't calibrated it yet.

Mine is a little worse when I compare standby time at 75% left using the same settings as before and using the same apps:

Old version:
Usage 1 hour, 54 minutes
Standby 13 hours, 16 minutes

Update:
Usage 1 hour, 46 minutes
Standby 10 hours, 21 minutes

iPhone 4S was fully charged and I haven't calibrated the battery fully yet, but still very disappointing...

Unfortunately, despite me having great hopes for this, it hasn't helped. Usage is still showing as 29 minutes today, even though in reality it's 3 minutes at most.

iOs 5 alone boosted the battery life on my iPhone 4, iOs 5.0.1 seems to have made it even better :)

Can you tell me if my battery is OK with 2:41h usage and 14:03h of stand by? I used iPod for 0:30h and for 1:50 I browsed the web using 3G. Now, I have 66% left and I think it consumed those 34% pretty quick, or is it normal consumption?
Thank you

I have been on 5.0.1 for several days and I see no difference. I left my phone off charge again last night (I have to charge while at work to make it through the day).

It was 81% when I went to bed and 50% this morning. Before 5.0 if I left it off charge, it might drop 2% through the night.

No change for me. Got the update yesterday with 100% battery it still drained 15% per hour with many key services/features turned off and restraining myself from using things like Facebook/Instagram.

I really want to use my phone to do things like they do in the commercials/demo but so far there is no way to do it because even at minimal use this drains battery too quickly.

Mine completely died from 50% over night. It wasn't that bad before. Hopefully a recharge will help it be better.

No difference here.

Last night, I charged my phone to 100%.

I went to bed with a 95% charge, with the phone set to Airplane Mode.

I woke up with my phone at a 84% charge.

Battery lost 11% charge in Standby/Airplane Mode over a 6 hour period.

Is that normal? Good? Bad? I have no idea.

But it's exactly the same drain rate as it was with iOS 5.0

Was getting atleast 2 days if not 3 for my average usage. After iOS5 its down to about 50% everyday by lunchtime.... the update hasnt done anything. Alittle worse maybe...?

This is with 30% brightness and all location > system services > off.

Hope the next update fixes it.

Is it possible there is a difference between doing an OTA (55MB) vs a full restore through iTunes (770MB)? I did the OTA which was amazing, but it didnt solve anything so im considering a restore.

It took nearly a month to admit/test/release an update for a widely publicized problem and for Apple thats a pretty fast turnaround. But for the end users then a month of crippling your phone just to get through the day is unreasonable so I hope that the people with legitimate issues keep complaining and the defenders quit trying to muzzle them. The 4S is an amazing product but it's got problems that require an immediate solution.

50% overnight? You definitely have severe battery problems. I can go to bed with my battery at 15%, without killing any apps, using airplane mode, etc. and it's still on in the morning. Still on 5.0 btw.

We never had any issues with our 4S (me and my wife's). It seemed normal! But, what's weird is that I updated her 4S last night and her battery was 100% before going to bed. This morning, after 7.5 hours, the battery was still at 100%. It just seems a little weird!

I dunno yet, left my screen on all night (no lock) and dropped 50 percentage points...

But still had 20% left to drain for recalibration.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

I haven't had any problems since I turned off the time zone. I get between 6-7 hrs on a full charge on a 4S I'm staying on 5.0 for the jailbreak
