Worse.

Like others have noted, one of the big differences I've seen is battery drain when unused / on standby. I've seen it lose 30%+ during a night's sleep.

Yep mine lost at least 32% as that's what it was on last night when I went to bed around 1am. Around 10am in the morning it was off. Weak.

I woke up to a dead phone this morning. I don't think any of my iPhone's have ever died overnight while having a pretty substantial amount of battery life left from the night before.

Ok, i'm rather amazed on my battery right now, its been 20 hours since I have recharged my iPhone 4S 16GB, I've done a few emails, a few SMSs, and even played a game for 20 minutes (fill in time), and the remainder on stand-by and my battery has dropped to only 93% - by now I would be under 50%. I don't know if it was 5.0.1 or that I reinstalled the iOS a few days ago.

Yes I've noticed this as well. I am not liking it. Last night I had around 21% battery and about 7 hrs later when I woke up (and missed my alarm!), the phone was dead. Had to recharge it. This has never happened before!:(

My iPads battery life seems fine though. No issues there

No then Yes I guess

IP4 Under 5.0 I did not have any battery drain issues. When I updated to 5.01 I had horrible battery drain. About 2--3 hours with modest use would drain.
I performed a complete restore and now do not have any issues, seems to be better than before. I wonder if the software (firmware) is the culprit in that it may not be fully loading? For those experiencing issues, try restoring.

I really can't figure out what the deal is here. My iPad2 and my wife's 4S are on 5.0.1 as well.. and they are both fine. Ever since the upgrade on my phone, I keep waking up to a dead device.

I just pulled it from the charger to play with the settings. I have iCloud off except for Contacts and find my iPhone. Notification center is pretty bare. Location services is off. Yet in the past 5 minutes just browsing through settings Ive gone from 34% to 29%. Thats 1% per minute.

Looking at the settings for the applications I have installed on the phone - I don't see anything that should be sucking the battery in the background. I actually had no issues with the battery using 5.0.
