not a tablet fan. i like the keyboard/mouse input much more than stylus writing
I would however really like to see a sub-notebook similar to an eeePC. It would be perfect for travel.
i like the ipod touch so much its not even funny anymore
but having a itablet in the game and i'll be screaming apple from every roof top
-10inch screen (not smaller because 10 inch isn't that big)
-1 firewire 400/800 port (for my apogee duet)
-2 usb ports (always handy)
-80gb (bigger ones in the future)
-good video card with tv out (why not)
-wifi and blue tooth (because we wanna connect)
no keyboard/ no camera/ no dvd or blu ray/ no buttons just one on the front and a big apple logo on the back
what's left..... off course amazing apps like logic studio touch the ultimate tool in the studio and on stage
apple please make my wet dreams come true
not interested unless it's a game changer. i've seen the pc tablets and was not impressed
i don't think that apple is focusing on games accept a bit on devices like the ipods and iphonesnot interested unless it's a game changer. i've seen the pc tablets and was not impressed
Here's my take on it, if/when Apple makes a tablet it won't be a replacement for a MBP, and it won't be intended to function as a workstation, more of a lightweight internet/email/media device like the iPhone but with a larger screen and a little more muscle.
They have a slimmed down touch OS already and a community of developers producing touch apps. They can trim down/specialize apps like iPhoto and Pages to run on a less powerful machine like this. I would expect to able to create and organize documents and do light work on photos, not edit HD video or write a novel. Remember, they still want people to buy Macbooks too, this wouldn't directly replace anything in my opinion.
Keeping the specs down would also help to keep the cost down and really get lots of people using and developing for their touch OS making it more of a platform than just one device. I would buy one if the price was within reason, and I bet the slim Apple sexiness alone would move a lot of stock. Could this be the transitional product cutting into profits Steve mentioned?
