There's a 50/50 chance iPad Mini 7 goes live next week or October. Personally, it will be next week. October is Mac month. I have a gut feeling The M4 Pro/M4 Max is going to be a powerhouse event. It's going to be crazy Apple October.
I so hope you are right. I’m interested in the iPad mini, but not in the Mac’s at all. It takes Apple so long to refresh the mini it should get an A18 chip to hold us till they decide to refresh it again.

I’m excited too, but I know I shouldn’t get my hopes up too much for the iPad Mini being announced on the 9th. If there’s at least one new rumor about the iPads leading up to the event, then it’s more likely to happen. As of now, I think it’s safer to expect the iPads to be announced next month. The iPhone/Watch event might be pretty packed with AI talk.

I would like an iPad mini with FaceID. But in terms of likelihood, I think Apple will not announce a new mini, and if they announce a new mini, there will be no FaceID. In fact, they might make the power/TouchID button even smaller so it becomes even more inconvenient. It's funny to them.

Am I being too optimistic about a new Ipad mini next week? Now I have sold all my Apple devices except my Iphone 15, hoping to buy the "right" products for the future. I know; it will last half a year, then something new is launched....

Looking purely at the iPad mini line, it's got several years before a new mini comes along.

100%. It's been over 1,000 days since the Mini 6's launch. [1,086 days as of today] It's part of Apple's 3 OLDEST device. With Apple intelligence, I don't see Apple keeping the Mini out of the loop. It may not be the A18 Pro, but i'll still take the A17 Pro w/8GB of RAM

I‘d expect Face ID for the iPad mini when they give it the OLED screen. I’m not particularly interested in OLED so I’ll be happy to get the one that hopefully is coming on Monday

I agree we'll probably be hearing a lot about AI at this announcement. I expect the main reason we are getting a mini update is that they want the mini to have Apple AI capabilities, so the announcement of a new mini could dovetail really nicely into all that AI talk. Fingers are crossed.

Well everyone, today's the big day.

Sadly I missed the mark on the exact day of the Apple Event, that means that the poll ends tomorrow. But even then. I was surprised to see an overwhelming "no announcement nor mention" vote in this poll, but even good o'l Mark Gurman said it will be announced in October. Let's see what we have.

I just hope I can have a big "I told you so"
If not, I'll take the big "I told you so" from this poll.

To all who voted and commented, thank you so much!

Definitely sucks. Was hoping for iPads today as well. All eyes are now officially on Apple's Mac+iPad event.

Tired of waiting for a new iPad mini 7, which may not come. So today I ordered an iPad Air m2. Hopefully I won't regret it.
