Wrong crowd I guess. I just sold my 5,1 for $750 to a photographer and my 4,1 for $900 to a music guy.

I suspect that my time here in this subforum is waning. I do enjoy the company, but nothing is relevant now.
mine's a 1,1 ;)

I´d definitively take it!, never owned a Mac Pro , not even a power Mac...., and yet , have had all other Macs at some time
where you live?

What is the primary reason you bought it for or how you use it.
Making music using Logic! :)
Plus I use Photoshop to design my artwork and more recently iMovie to do videos too.
The dual optical drives, PCIe slots and internal hard drive expansion bays are very useful for me and the cMP is BY FAR the best Mac Apple have ever made IMO.
I was disappointed when they discontinued it for that dreadful trashcan thing and am delighted to hear a proper replacement is now being developed by Apple for next year - hooray! :)

not sure if the superdrive still works.

well, if you want it, i'll give it to you for free.
we'll just have to figure out how to handle the shipping fee.. probably i'll just pay for it then you pay me back somehow
yes, that´s absolutely the least I could do ,I guess I could pay you back via western union or if you prefer PayPal , will really appreciate it, it´d be my first expandable Mac ever :D, will private message you my personal info, thanks in advance

Using the cMac Pro for graphic design and video rendering. It has been my bread and butter and helps bringing in food on the table. Also using the cMac Pro as a home theatre

I'm a film editor, I use it as my personal system for films I work on, and/or rent it out to the production cie hiring me. Mac Pro is a workhorse, and very stable - especially as I have one partition dedicated to each editing software I use (Avid, and a little bit of Premiere and DaVinci).

Wow, well over half the people use their MP to generate income.

They need competent and top performing tools, not ever shrinking toys with kinky emoji collections!

I used my 2010 cMP to found my business and website, and currently maintain them. As a prosumer: music performance and capture. Hobbyist uses are things like Bitcoin, PLEX and Calibre server.

Light business, but mainly just tooling around online when I am bored and the kids are asleep
