Not EMC, I can happily say it is not EMC ;) But then some support guys are seen as "uncaring so-and-so's" from all companies so the few can taint it for the many.

Now it may get as hot as "F" there but I still want to move there when I get the chance, not necessarily your building though, but the Pittsburgh area in general.

Good... dealing with an issue with techs not showing up to one of our remote sites right now, ready to kill someone.

Not really hot here, most of the time. We just went through a heat wave where it was above 90 for almost 3 weeks in a row, that is unusual for a summer as we usually only see 6-7 90+ days. The sys admin area for our area is in a corner of the building on one of the top floors, its probably 20* warmer here on some days then it is in the middle of the floor.

I'm a senior developer for SOE. I've been working here for around 10 years now when i started as a junior programmer. Managed to snap a pic last week when everyone was hard at work trying to push an important beta patch out.

I am a Acrylic Fabricator at a small shop in Dallas. We make museum cases for most of the Museums in the DFW area and we also make custom pieces for art or artifacts and frames for photo's and artsy type of things.

Unix Sys Admin? or Windows?

I was both when I posted that picture, but more heavily Windows.

I'm now a Linux/Mac OS X "enterprise desktop architect" which means I manage an internal Linux distro and an application suite that we push to Macs. I'm lucky in that I don't have to mess with Windows on a regular basis in my current job.

I still have BOFH tendencies, they just come out a whole lot less often than they used to. ;)

That's awesome! Yeah I would hate to manage Windows. Mac OS X and Linux ftw!
