I really like them, for the price point. I have 2 pairs :p (black and white)
My black ones are starting to crack on the remote, so i think its time to replace them. So i was looking around and the reviews seem positive but is it worth the extra $80. (assuming you pay retail)

The retail price is actually $99 (at least, that's what they cost at the Apple Store and Best Buy). I wouldn't pay retail if I knew that I could get them cheaper somewhere else ($65 right now from Amazon).

From everything I've read, people love them. They seem to be the #1 recommended earphones in the $100 range. My set will be delivered on Monday, so I won't really know how much I like them for a week or so after that (after the burn-in).

I'm also planning on eventually getting a set of Comply foam tips to use instead of the silicone tips.

how are you liking those? Do you have to use the in the ear loop thing, it doesn't seem comfortable.

I can't decide if i want those or another pair of S4i's

They sound great, granted I've only listened for only a couple hours. Totally different sound signature compared to my UM3Xs, which are a lot more balanced and analytical (they are actual monitors, after all). The C5 offers a bit more bass for portable sources, which is pretty nice, and they don't over do it unlike some mainstream products...*cough* Monster/Beats *cough*.

The ear loops are actually well designed, and actually help with keeping them in your ear without being uncomfortable. After a few tries and getting used to putting them in my ear, they are much more comfortable than deeper IEMs (like my UM3X).

The only thing I don't like is the slightly short cable...but since it's going from my pocket to my head, and I'm not that tall, it's not too big of an issue.

sold my late 2008 MacBook Pro 15' and ordered this beauty:

13' Air. I'm going to write my thesis on it, and I'm happy I don't have to haul the heavy Pro with me anymore

i had the late 08 mbp too! the 13' air is way beyond leaps ahead of the 08 mbp. everything is better: same res screen, way better cpu/ram and SSD! not to mention the battery life too :D

2TB Time Capsule

Tired of my Time Machine backups having to start from scratch about once per month. I was using a drive attached to my AirPort Extreme. I can see why doing so is not officially supported by Apple for use as a Time Machine drive.

So, I picked up this guy... Very happy so far. My AirPort Extreme was about 4 years old anyway. I notice stronger connections and better range with the new Time Capsule vs. my AirPort Extreme.

Almost did the same with my late '08 MBP. Then I put a SSD in it. :)

I wouldn't mind a lighter computer and better battery life, though.

Same here but with a late '07... Since OSX won't officially enable TRIM on non apple standard SSDs, I do not think it to be overly wise to do so. However the new Samsung 830 does have decent cleanup capabilities by itself... I still have my '07 though as it's a great machine for the work I do. Using it the screen feels absolutely huge now:p And the heft (even though its actually quite light) means I now leave it at work. Amazing these SandyBridge MBA's are:D I do miss the non-chiclet keyboard.
