My Droid 1 stopped responding appropriately to touch input, and reflashing it did not help, so this was picked up today:

So far I am somewhat happy. Just waiting to have a real use to root it, and the ability to load a custom ROM on...

I NEED a physical QWERTY keyboard, and the Bionic is too big IMO, and our lack of REAL 4G speeds is a huge disappointment in the States. (Actually just about all broadband speeds in the States should make us hang our heads in shame...)

You think Verizon's 4G speeds are a huge disappointment?? Have you ever even used it?! I think broadband cable speeds over the air minimum are pretty actually pretty impressive.

In Austin for the weekend and we bought one heck of a donut.

That looks good! I always think of visiting that donut shop when I go to Austin but I always forget by the time I get there. I'm too focused on getting my Austin beer fix.

Crucial m4 512GB SSD. I wanted to wait for another generation but the constantly running out of space on my original gen 1 vertex 120gb was affecting my work. So, I figured it's a worthy investment after researching for a while. It was either this or Samsung P830 coming out in mid Oct, after reading the reviews of the new P830, I went for m4 instead.

Finally I have arrived.....
At a duty-free shop at BKK Airport

I picked up a few items on my way home from Koh Tao via BKK.

I found a nice leather wallet which can also hold my passport in its case. It were nice full 5.5 days of diving.

I actually ordered it from you guys too. I love the thing now. Like I said, it took a few days to get used to the feeling.

I'm glad we helped you out. We aren't a store though, more of a tech blog. I know some of the review images look like they're from a magazine :D

i had the late 08 mbp too! the 13' air is way beyond leaps ahead of the 08 mbp. everything is better: same res screen, way better cpu/ram and SSD! not to mention the battery life too :D

That's really good to hear, I was starting to doubt my decision. Financially speaking it's only about 470€ upgrading, so not bad.

Same here but with a late '07... Since OSX won't officially enable TRIM on non apple standard SSDs, I do not think it to be overly wise to do so. However the new Samsung 830 does have decent cleanup capabilities by itself... I still have my '07 though as it's a great machine for the work I do. Using it the screen feels absolutely huge now:p And the heft (even though its actually quite light) means I now leave it at work. Amazing these SandyBridge MBA's are:D I do miss the non-chiclet keyboard.

Lucky bastard. Sadly, I like to only retain one computer at a time.
I have a couple of unlimited-use wireless Expresscards with Sprint and Verizon (from work), that have come in really handy when on the road. With the MBA, there's no Expresscard slot. I think my Late 08 was the last year the MBP even had one (aside from the 17-incher). :(

I could never get myself to spend 750 usd on a drive. I think I max out around 400. over 700 is just to much for me. to much goes through my head. like I could buy an entire other computer like a 11 inch refurbished baseline air. I think its awesome you got one though. im jealous for sure. its a nice drive.

:( I really like having an Expresscard slot. I was able to easily add USB 2.0 to my TiBook, and an SSD to my '07. It seems it wasn't overly adopted as the pickings are pretty slim, but for those that can find what they want, its darn awesome. ESATA to your MBP? More audio/ video input options? Oh yes!

It really did transform the Pro into a "pro" computer...

Got this leather trunk for a temporary TV stand. Someday it will serve its true purpose, until then... I think it looks pretty good. And it was $100, which seemed to be a pretty good deal. It's big (4'x1.5'x2'), and pretty sturdy/heavy, takes two people to move.

Yes, the Proraso Crema Liquida Dopobarba is quite reasonable stuff, but I think Truefitt & Hill's aftershave balm is better still. But Proraso is good value for money!

I haven't seen the tube of Proraso you posted, only the round-tubs (Sapone da barba con olio di eucalipto e mentolo). I quite like the dark green tubs of shaving soap, give a very fresh feeling.

No feather blades for me however! Not suitable for me, a bit too sharp.

My last purchase is below - the Garmin Edge 800. It's really cool. I got to try it out for a short while tonight before the last sunlight disappeared. :) Love it, and love the bike - huge, huge fun. :) I'm still a newbie to road-biking and got to some speeds that were quite unusual for me! :) I'm going to love getting out to the ring-road of one of the parks about 20min away and riding for as long as I can manage. :)
