Nah, I'm not that concerned about what iPhone I have. I waited from 3GS to 4, wasn't that impressed with it so waited for 5 and 4S arrived. I think I can wait a little longer.

Also, I've been loving MW3 so far. Especially the Spec Ops Survival mode and Kill Confirmed for multiplayer. I did get a new XBox because there are too many new games out there I want to play. Which means having an XBox that has a sticking door, isn't going to fly. Gears of War 3 has been fun, love Batman: Arkham City, having a ball with MW3, and next week is Saints Row 3.

 Whew! That's a lot of games, and nowhere near enough time.

Saints Row the Third is gonna be awesome!:)

I have the same iPod and it's still going strong. It's my favorite design from that line. I too bought a replacement battery, but I had trouble opening the iPod itself, so I never got around to using it. Any tips on how to get it open without messing up the sides? I have one of those plastic spudgers for electronics, but no luck.

Haven't actually gotten the battery yet. I ordered it on ebay and it should come by Saturday. It'd better come before the 22nd, because I am leaving to Israel on the 22nd and I want to take the iPod with me. I got the iPod free from my uncle and all I have to do to get it "usable" is to install a new battery. The battery cost $4.25 with free shipping and all of the required tools.

Finally finished my fixie project!!

Image

Ignore the chain sag, I've fixed it since this picture's been taken

Ok, now THIS is a hipster fixie. It has colorful deep v's, mismatched frame element colors (I'm guessing he just repainted the frame and fork with a rattlecan) and no brakes. I like the color of bar tape. I think it would look nice on my barends on my hybrid. What brand is it?

Samsung 256gb SSD for my brand new mbp 13"!

Errr... why didn't you get the Samsung 830 256GB? Its the newest model, much faster, SATA3, and around the same price.

1.5 ton floor jack that's under 30lbs to bring to the track for quick work/wheel changes.

I have that jack too, been using for about 6 months no problems. My only complaint is it doesn't extend that high and the rubber pad can be slippery. I was jacking up the front of my car and the jack slipped from out underneath the car, luckily it was only a few inches off the ground.

Big purchase for me today! Lenovo W510 with:

15.6" 1920x1080 95% Adobe gamut screen
Core i7-860
Quadro FX 880 (equivalent to GeForce 330)
4gb RAM (8 more coming)
160gb HD (SSD in near future)

It's a MASSIVE improvement over the HP Elitebook I've been using. My school forced those upon us, they were really expensive and only had 1366x768 screens... barely tall enough for typing papers, let alone doing serious research work.

I'm curious, why did your school force them upon you?

They're workstation level laptops, and I think had xeons or at least some crazy powerful graphics chipsets. If the course involves working in autocad or something graphics intensive, they might make certain hardware a necessary requirement.

The battery came in the mail today. Opened up the iPod, unscrewed the main board, installed the new battery, put it all back together and now the iPod won't charge. Installed the old battery and it charges fine. Messaged the ebay seller that it is defective. Hopefully, they'll send me out a new one.

Me too, id like to know HOW they forced them on you, unless you live in some communist state?

I'm in medical school. They require us to buy an HP Elitebook which we take exams on. They are encrypted to view patient records and other confidential health info.
