Whatever you do . . . . don't buy Splash ID if you need to sync

It doesn't sync for a lot of users . . . . This iPhone app was not ready for Prime Time . . . . probably rushed out of the door

This one is fixed btw... there is an update.. i found a discussion on the company's site where they worked with the early donwloaders (including me) to fix it. I downloaded the fix and it works great now.

I was one of those "early downloaders" and they have offered many suggestions, none worked.
If you're talking about version 4.02 I haven't seen it released yet on iTunes App Store and if you're talking about the previous release just before (4.02) that. Downloaded it . . . . same problem . . . . same crap  I stand by my original statement.

Glad it worked for you though.

I'm getting an error message from the NYTimes app every time I sync my iPhone. WTF? Still seems to work OK, though.

I like that app, Crash Bandicoot and Texas Arcade for paid games, Labryrinth Lite and Jirbo Arcade for free and quick games (e.g., when you're waiting in line somewhere), and WeatherBug, iTip, and Vicinity for utility/productivity apps.

My favorite and most used app, however, is Twitterific. I bought the Premium edition and find myself twittering more than ever. :)

Spinblox
My wife and I have been addicted to Spinblox since the store opened. She played a lot of the free web app version this summer and got hooked, and I think the native version is extremely polished. It's from the makers of Space Out which got a quick writeup on Touch Arcade. I'm really surprised that it only has 8 reviews so far, but it's holding strong at 4 stars, :)

Great for puzzle game lovers, in the same vein as tetris, lumines, wario's woods, columns, etc.

(Just posted this over on Touch Arcade, but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of activity over there.)

the other con is that you cannot connect to a computer without a wifi router, at my summer house in NH I often bring my computer and being able to use my iPod to control the music would be nice, but I have no router there.

can you not Create Network on your mac (from the airport icon in your menubar) so that the mac becomes the router? then connect to it from the wi-fi settings on the Touch and then Remote should be able to search for your iTunes library
just tried it on my macbook and iPhone and it works perfectly

Thanks for the tip, I never thought of that, I'll try that soon.

This is an application that brings your friends, the places they like, and you all together on one map. So you or your friends can check the map and look at what your friends think about the businesses around you.

Enigmo is easily a 9/10.

It's really addicting and it's a blast. Really challenging, too.

This app is for everyone. Definitely worth the $10.

The good thing about it is that it's simple and so easy to get into. After beating a level, you really feel like you accomplished something, lol.

I've downloaded a few more apps since my last review of apps, removed some, and re-added an app that I already deleted.

Updated and New Reviews

App Name: Box Office
Itunes Price: FREE
Rate app: 9
When I downloaded this app I was almost expecting it to be a 3/10. It really helps to get a quick movie time, and now with the most recent update, trailers and reviews to. My local theater doesn't allow online booking so I cannot speak to that. Sadly this app is no longer available from the App store, but if it pops back up, then be sure to download it again before it gets pulled.

App Name: Facebook
Itunes Price: FREE
Rate app: 6
After noticing that they released an update, I re-downloaded this app and now like it a little bit more than beforehand (my old review was a 3), I still wish that the mini-feed included more than status and picture updates, and that there was a way to get notifications and respond to requests, maybe in the next update.

App Name: Cro-Mag Rally
Itunes Price: $5.99 (was $9.99)
Rate app: 9
This app is good in just about every way, but I feel that it could have been better. But I have no cons or problems with it. Highly recommended.

App Name: Platinum Solitaire
Itunes Price: $3.99 (was $7.99)
Rate app: 10
For a solitaire app, they did an amazing job and included so many other card games, some of which I have never heard of before and am now addicted to. My only complaints about it is that they make you watch the 10 second video each time you open it and that it takes forever to return to a game after you go back to the home screen. NOTE:This video was removed in the last update and the app runs much smoother now, they even made it easier to listen to your own music while playing. Highly recommended to all who are solitaire addicts.

App Name: Google
Itunes Price: FREE
Rate app: 5
The fact that this app redirects you to the Safari app for all of it's results just makes in more of an inconvenience than an aid. I have gone back to using Google's mobile app as a web mark on the home screen, as the application was more of a pain than an aid.

App Name: iProcrastinate Mobile
Itunes Price: FREE
Rate app: Not Yet
After fooling around with the features on this app, I have to say that it looks great and should be a great help, that along with the fact with the developer being a member here, I would have to recommend downloading this app if you are a high school or college student, as it looks like it will help a lot, I can't give it a number yet though, as the school year hasn't started yet.

App Name: Jaw Breaker
Itunes Price: FREE
Rate app: 8
A great free game app, not much else to say though, it is tough trying to beat your own high score and this game can help pass the time while waiting for something.

App Name: PegJump
Itunes Price: FREE
Rate app: 7
A great app of this classic game, yet another great free game app.

Unchanged Reviews

App Name: Remote

A great app from Apple, a feature that I wish was included since day-one with the device. The only cons that I can come up with is that I hear that it cannot connect to AirPort Express directly. But otherwise this app is everything that I could have wished for with this feature.

App Name: Super Monkey Ball
Itunes Price: $9.99
Rate app: 7
This app is a great game to pass the time, but it lacks one thing in my mind and has two problems. The one thing that it lacks is the ability to save a game between stages, and the other thing that is a problem for me is how fast it kills battery life. The other problem is that there is not way to adjust the sensitivity of the movements.

App Name: iMaze
Itunes Price: FREE
Rate app: 4
It is a good thing that this app is free, because the developer tried to use the device's ability too much, only being able to control the bubble by tilting the device makes it hard to use. If they had made this app with the ability to move the ball with your finger then it would have been a much more successful app.

App Name: To Do
Itunes Price: FREE
Rate app: 5
I was hoping for an App that would eliminate me from having to use a note as my to-do list, but it is even more inconvenient to use than the note app. I was hoping that this app could be more than I wanted, but after all, it was free. I ended up deleting this app from my touch since the review.

App Name: YPmobile
Itunes Price: FREE
Rate app: 7
This app was a major success, but I haven't had the need to use it more than two times, so I can't speak for it for more than a 7. I ended up deleting it just because I didn't use it enough and it was taking up space.

App Name: NY Times
Itunes Price: FREE
Rate app: 8
This app makes it a lot quicker to get news than through their site on Safari, and that is what makes this app so great. Highly recommended for NY Times readers.

App Name: T4Two
Itunes Price: FREE
Rate app: 5
This app looks like it should be good for when you are actually playing somebody, but if they made a way for the "computer" to face you then this app would have been a lot better. I ended up deleting it to free up space because I never used it.

App Name: AIM
Itunes Price: FREE
Rate app: 8
A pretty decent app, my only problems with it are that when you leave the keyboard up when you have multiple IMs, a simple fix would have been to make the dot of the other conversation red when it got a new message or something like that. Otherwise, it is a great app.

Yelp

8 of 10

I started with 7 of 10 because it's definitely missing a few things, but I'm very confident they'll improve it. Yelp is an innovative company for sure. Living in SF, CA Yelp has amazing coverage of just about every category, so for me to be able to easily get it on the iPhone, dial out seamlessly, etc. has been a godsend. No more texting Google...
