My brother works in a wildlife refuge in Florida where they do animal rescue. The office owl (a Barred Owl) recently caught a mouse in their office.

And, meet Dennis. We just adopted him from our local shelter today. He's very sweet and seems to be well-behaved.

I don't have the privilege of owning a pet but I do have a stuffed animal he's called Captain Jack :) You can't really see his eyes that well.

Sorry 'bout your goldfish.

So -- true story. I cried when our betta fish died. I mean, it was an otherwise tough time, and it died because the dog stepped on it (long story). But yeah. Seems petty, but we displace a lot onto our pets, however small.

I hope you feel better soon.

And here's a video of him in the snow.

If you want to see more pics or videos you can go to either of these sites. I have so many pics, but didn't want to post them all. I also have a betta fish, but I don't have any pics of him on my photobucket. His name is Chase.

My girlfriend and I live together and we adopted two cats this past summer. They were born July 2nd. It's great having them and it's hard to think about what it was like before we had them.

Here are two pictures of them, I have tons more but I am at work and this is all I had here.

The first is both of them in their favorite bed, it's a crappy picture because I took it with my phone. I can't remember exacly when this picture was taken but I think they are around 2 months old at that point.

The second is them about 2 weeks ago, in the same bed. Clearly they both don't fit in it together anymore, but they still try. You can tell them apart because the boy (Tuxedo) has a blue collar and the girl (Layla) has a pink collar as well as a brown spot on her forehead.

Glad to know my beagle isn't the only dog who likes to help "pre-wash" dishes before the dishwasher starts.

Here is a pic of my yorkie. His name is Einstein. He's great. I thought he might be a yappie dog, but he's well behaved. Excuse the last picture being blurry. I still love it though.
