Since I got a new ring flash, I thought I would try taking some "macro" pics of my new pet. Not really macro pics since I took them with my kit lens, but I think this one turned out pretty good:

Click here for the large pic (2500x1114, 950Kb), it's worth it! (to me, at least :p) No PP besides cropping and adding the ©.

The ring flash is so cool it let me get away with these settings and still be spot-on with the exposure:
18-55mm kit lens @ 53 mm
f11, 1/200, ISO 100
Indoor light, manual focus

PS: BTW, I think I'm going to go with "Akuma" for the name, since everybody liked it. To me, it'll always be Scolopendra sp. ;)

Here's Lily again. She is all healed up after emergency surgery on New Year's Eve. The second shot you can see her shaved tummy. She has a scar running nearly the entire length of her underside.

Here's my long-haired dachshund (sausage dog), Moschino, pronounced as Moss-keen-no. He's nearly 2 and a half years old, and he measures 70 cm (27.5 inches) long!:D

Wow, what markings! So dark. Really pretty. Is she a 'real' Siamese?
She is. She's a seal point. Her sister is so dark she almost has no markings anymore. Their bodies were a lot lighter when they were kittens (they are both 13 now). The darkening/fading of their points has to do with how hot or cold they are I think.

Orange Tabbys seem to have so much personality, as do solid black cats.
No joke! I've had neither until my roommate adopted a solid black cat from the SPCA. That cat is so freaking awesome. I mean, I love my tabby-colored cats, but the black-colored one is just in a league of his own! :)

Wonder if I could RIT dye my tabbies black and then they'd be just as cool? ;)
