Sort of. I work in the Swiss International office above the atrium at the airport. That's basically the view from the balcony

The airport pic you posted ... that's ZRH right? I have to fly there like every weekend :) ... That's on the first floor where the Swiss/SEN lounges are but a bit more in the direction of the duty free shops, right?

Does anybody work in an engineering/testing/lab setting? I want to see what I have to look forward to when I graduate. :D

Looks like quite a lot of us do.

What sort of engineering are you planning on getting into? I'm in motorsport, there's a lot of other labs pictured in this thread and I know there are a whole load of engineers on the forum.

The office......

Here's me this summer. My office is the whole of the South-Eastern section of Britain. I am shown here with my trusty steed B32, a Ford Focus estate Diesel, loaded to the gunnels with evidence gathering gear, torches, fatality/first aid packs and other assorted toys for cops.

It's an up and down type of career, but you know what - I kind of like it.....and I am pretty good at it too.:)

You look happy. Glad you like your job, someone has to do it and I rather it be someone other than me. I hate driving. I sit at a computer all day at work.

I'm in mechanical. I'd love to work at Consumer Reports. Wear a white lab coat and break things :D

Don't get me wrong - I sit at a computer alot of the time too.....investigation in the 21st Century requires it.

As for the driving - it was a great course and I like the challenge. It's a pretty responsible position to be one of the response drivers, and I love that part of it.

As for liking my job - I went through a long stage of really really hating it as it can be pretty soul destroying - flying through the underbelly of life can be rough. Also - the politics can be a pain in the arse as well. And then....one day....I just gave up and started liking it again. There was no point in trying to fight the system, and I am good at what I do, so I just roll with the punches, and do my bit to protect the weak.

In my last job, I worked in a cubicle in this building. So if you have ever been to Quebec City, Quebec (Canada), there are good chances that you have either been in this building, or passed by this building. Kind of hard not to. Plus that building has THE best view of the city!

Where You Work™

EDIT: I searched before posting too!... ah well dang..

This is a small radio station (as you can tell). Also, these are computers we've had for aeons... The first one is taken from where I put together the afternoon news. Mostly, I've got the space to myself. And that's bustling Main Street, USA out the window. I've been there 6 years, but we've been on the air since '76.
