I love Penzeys, they pack the herbs and spices in glass containers, not plastic, and they wrap and double-wrap in sheets of recyclable newsprint-style paper which in my house has plenty ways of getting re-used. The products are fresh, clearly labeled as to content and origin, never had a complaint about anything. Nothing has ever broken in transit. Plus their catalog (which you can download from a handy button on their home page) is lots of fun to read through. All the products are listed with what's in them, plus recipes, letters from fans and from Penzey staff, it's a gas. They're the best! They have retail stores so surely many of you have bumped into them, but if not, and if you like to cook and to experiment with herbs new to your cooking, check them out: http://www.penzeys.com/

Looks like a great place, I'll have to check them out the next time I'm in the US, although they don't seem to stock beetroot powder (which is always my test for a top spice shop, especially if they grind their own).

This is my local spice shop, funnily enough called The Spice Shop

http://thespiceshop.co.uk/

I love going in their just to smell the place and look around, even if I don't need anything.

I've got this shoulder bag in the exact same color and I really love it!

It does look nice, I'm looking forward to it arriving (hopefully will be here tomorrow) for when I go away Saturday for a few days. I assume it's of good quality and won't fall apart after two weeks?

You get a ticket for having an airbag light on? From who the police? That's weird.

Yup, anything that gives an MOT failure. "Non-roadworthy vehicle." The local cops love giving ******** tickets, especially to immigrants. I was once ticketed for brake light on my work truck. I had 16 more brake lights that worked perfectly.

As for most recent order:

Tech 2 with program cards for Saab (OG+NG), Opel, GM, Suzuki, Holden and Izuzu.

Years in the making

After years of using a Macbook Pro from 2009 and an iMac from 2010. Finally, I am making the step up. On Thursday, I ordered a 13" Macbook Pro Retina with 16GB of Ram and an i7 Processor with 128GB flash. YAY!

Interesting. Everything is basically the highest option (i7 and RAM) but why only 128gb? Seems too small for i7 and 16gb.

I wanted to keep it around $2000AUD, and plus the guy on the phone was nice enough to give me discount to make it close to my budget.

I do a lot of Photography work, so the way I'm going to set it up is, by using external drives and maybe in the future thunderbolt drives for my photos and the internal drive for the rest.

I do see where you are coming from though. Thanks!

Ah, some serious necessities (the managed switch, the electric skillet), and the absolute fundamentals without which life as a coffee fiend is simply not worth living….

Indeed! Must have items, especially the coffee grinder cleaning tablets! :D

Well, over the next few weeks, some of the stuff I have selected, ordered, paid for here in London will be dispatched home (after all, a suitcase can only hold so much).

There are a selection of bespoke shirts made by Grosvenor; a pair of shoes by Church's along with two belts and a black leather briefcase; and there are a number of cashmere pullovers and tops, which include birthday presents for my mother, whose birthday is next week.

Ahh, now the ensuing wait begins. Picking out the items, then placing the order and having them shipped home will make the reception of them even better when you get to open them later on. It sounds like a collection of much deserved items to be had after a long wait.

And, a very happy birthday to your mother! :) #

Thank you. I think (rather, I know) she will adore the cashmere tops & pullovers when she receives them, as she loves cashmere. I won't be home in time for her birthday, and have, therefore, arranged that the parcels shall not arrive until after my return (which will be in early September), but I expect that a belated birthday celebration will still be an occasion for enjoyment...…..

My suitcase also contains six antique (Art Deco) silver espresso spoons, a few books, a new Barbour jacket, another new pair of shoes, and a new briefcase…….and I am debating the purchase of a bath robe, that white, fluffy, deep pile cotton,…...

AirDrop screwed me over this last trip. So I bought a wifi card reader after seeing someone review one over in the iPad section, and then a SD card.

I usually AirDrop between the iPhone and iPad Mini. Someone around here or on another forum told me that as long as I have both wifi and Bluetooth on, it should work. However I was on a very congested wifi network which probably had thousands of people using it all at the same time. Needless to say it didn't work. The two devices were able to find each other as usual, and I was able to send it over, and then accept, but the transfer wouldn't go through.

My 16GB iPad doesn't have very much room to work with anyway and I'm relying more and more on it when I go out since my keyboard on the MacBook Pro blew out.
