I must be an idiot, because I can't find the blank one on my springboard. Am I doing something wrong?

You just take the blank.app folder and drop it into applications, like the nice Bear Hunter said...and it should be there....right?

I'm having the same problem as you. I ssh'd them into the folder and just to make sure they were there I went into categories and it showed that they were there and that I can move them into categories. However when I go look at my home screen I can't seem to find them anywhere. What does happen though is when the icons start to wiggle I notice that there is another page available but it is empty and if I move my hard drive icon it keeps creating new pages, but as soon as I hit the home button everything goes back to one page and it stays the same as it was before. Hopefully bear hunter can help us out again. :)

Hey guys, first make sure your not using the decompressed folder after you download. Look in your trash and pull the zip file out and delete the "zip" extension leaving the ".app" extension.

Ok now that, that's out of the way it sounds like the blank app is being loaded on the last page.

Go to the last page and press and hold the first empty slot. If you don't have visible icons on that page watch your dock icons for "shaking". If your dock icons shake, you have found the blank app. Keep your finger on it and drag it where you want it.

Make sure you post your results after you try the above procedure

A point of note: I do remember when I did mine that the blank apps did load on a seperate page each time (making them hard to find. Just pay attention to your page indicators and that will tell you if they were loaded to a seperate page). Just find them and move them and you'll be good.

Yay.

Any idea what it's called?

It's literally called tap to unlock sliders on cydia. :p

@Bear Hunter

Thanks for the info I was actuallly extracting the zip file and putting the contents on my phone. I'll try renaming it instead and ssh'ing that to my phone here in a little bit as soon as my buddy gets off my computer. :). I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again!!

Remember to check the first blank spot on the last page and also if you SSH more than one you will have to change the name so it doesn't overwrite the original. ie) Blank, Blank1, Blank2, etc..

How in the world did you get "Tap to Unlock"? and also the weather things on the bottom sides. How so may I ask?

Install wbapp in cydia, and the wx wiget theme can be installed from there. You can customize it many different ways.

All right I did what you said and categories shows that the blank apps are there. However its having the same problem. It shows on the homescreen that I don't have any additional app pages. So when I make the icons wiggle then it shows that there are actually 2 pages. So I go on the second page and there is actually nothing there to move when I try to use my finger as if I am trying to move an icon. So I go back to the first page and try to move my hard drive icon and it goes to the second page but then it creates a third page and if I keep dragging the hard drive icon right it keeps making an additional page. Then when I hit the home button to lock the positions the hard drive icon goes back to the first page and it shows that there are no other pages. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Do I have to chmod the Blank apps? I've tried setting them to 755 and 775, but it still does the same thing.

:( Any ideas?

If you have more than one you have to change Info.plist to match the new name. For example if you have Blank2 you have to go into it and change Blank to Blank2. Then respring and they should be there.

I tried what you said Stebus and still isn't working for me.

Can you please let me know if I am doing the ssh process correctly?

I ssh into the phone go to the / folder and then go to Applications folder

I downloaded Blank.app.zip that Bear Hunter posted and I deleted the zip so the file name is Blank.app as Bear Hunter told me to do. Then I upload it to the Applications folder without making a folder for it or anything. I tried respringing using BossPrefs and manually rebooting the phone. It doesn't work for me, there is nothing there to move.

So then I tried to extract the Blank.app.zip and it gave me 2 folders one that said _MACOSX and another folder that said Blank.app. I looked at the directory structure of the other apps and since they don't have a _MACOSX folder, I just ssh the Blank.app folder. That doesn't work for me either.

So, then I try to SSH the entire folder including the _MACOSX folder and everything else intact and it still doesn't work.

I am going to eventually do the Blank2 and Blank3, but I can't even get the first blank working.

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong. :)

Ok.. you have only one page and one icon (hard drive) right? Anytime you press and hold an icon to make them shake you will have another page show up...that is normal. It has nothing to do with the blank app.

As stated earlier you will not see a "x" on the invisible icon when it shakes because it is loaded to springboard. The only icons that display a "x" are ipa's loaded through iTunes.

Instead of pressing and holding your hard drive or dock icons to make them shake...press and hold on the blank spaces around the hard drive icon and see if it shakes. It's there, trust me.

You said that you deleted the "zip" extension leaving the ".app" extension. You should have seen a app icon on your desktop computer right? Then when you SSH it into your phone you should see a folder called "blank.app"

Here is where you should SSH the apps to

Goto "/"

Then to "Applications"

BearHunter, is that Blank.app folder empty, if not what's in it? Is it even a folder? Sorry I'm using Vista and your screencap shows a Folder icon. When I ssh it doesn't show a folder icon for it.

This is what it looks like for me:

Also, I tried to hold down the blank space next to tmy hard drive icon and even after 2 minutes nothing wiggles. Thanks for bearing with me.

No problem...Here is what it should look like after you SSH the .app into your phone

All right that is exactly how it looks on my phone, do I have to set any permissions? The permissions are set to 755 right now, is that good?

EDIT; Still nothing. I even went into winterboard and set everything to default. Not sure what to do at this point. :(

Yep, 755 is good. If your not showing a second page after loading the app and a respring, it is definately on the first page somewhere. The only thing I can think of to do is to place your finger and hold on each blank spot on your screen where an icon would be as if your page was full of apps.

I guarantee you that it is there. Make sure your haven't hidden the app (check Boss Prefs)...and make sure you didn't load it into a category because if you loaded it into a category it automatically hides the icon from the hompage.

ARGH I hate BossPrefs!! That is what it was it was set to OFF in BossPrefs. Wow I've been fighting with this since yesterday and it was BossPrefs the entire time. Thanks a lot Bear Hunter and everyone else who attempted to help me! I would have never thought that BossPrefs would automatically set it to OFF like that. :D

Are you on windows as well? Not sure how that would make a difference, but who knows....

Yes, win XP.

I don't have categories or Boss Prefs installed....I'm gonna restart this thing...BRB.

Thank God :D
