To Thanatoast: How slow is 10.3 on 233 MHz? I have an iMac with the same speed, and wondering about OS X on it.

My friend used to run Panther on a 350MHz G3 w/ 256MB of RAM and other than the RAM, it wasn't TOO bad for just browsing the web, listening to music, etc. It definitely needed more RAM, though. You get pretty familiar with the beachball of death that way.

I used to run Tiger on my 350MHz imac and it worked fine. RAM must be fairly god though. It is ludicrously cheap now though for even 512MB sticks at like £10 each
