Im loving it. I Upgraded from my PPC iBook so it a lot faster than it. It is by far the best computer i have ever owned!
:apple:

oh wow thats awsome to hear! im looking at buying one, just to run some basic things like watch/rip movies, store my itunes, put all my external HD's on it and run VM's for uni.

so yea thanks for sharing how you like it, i dare say the C2D 2.0ghz mac mini will be around the same as my CD 2.16ghz mbp, practically exactly the same haha.

I had a 1.66GHz Core Duo mini for a year and it was plenty fast enough for the average user and should be perfect for what you wanna use it for. Especially if you're planning on getting the 2.0GHz model.

It's really insane how much faster the Intels are compared to the PPC machines.

And to think, I had my doubts about the switch at first.

In front of my MacBook Pro
Mac Pro 1 2.8 xeon, 4 Gb RAM, 2 500 Gb HDs, Radeon 2600, 2 superdrives. (I plan to put in a second xeon once I can find a heat sink for it, I just couldn't refuse the deal for this baby, which mind you, still blazes)

If you're not gonna use it for gaming or anything too graphic-intensive, you probably won't notice the lack of a true GPU. It never bothered me and I even played the X-Plane demo on it a bit. The only thing that kinda annoyed me about it was the slow HD. (5400rpm) That's not that big of a deal, though, and the only reason I sold mine to get an iMac was to rid myself of clutter.

The iMac is a beast, though. :)

naah i wont be gaming on it at all, i have my mbp and imac for that. i would probably custom upgrade the HD to a 300gb anyway after a little while so that wouldnt matter.

oh and yup i have a top spec imac, so fast and amazing. so yea nothing compares to that (in my $$$ anyway)
