I sold my original c2d white 20" imac and used the money to get a second hand well kept Mac pro 3,1
I just put in 8gb ram today and will be putting in a ati 4870 card next week
the geekbench score is 11250.
I just need the video card so I can utilize its power of the card for FCP etc

Thanks for the kind spirit. Finally figured out how to Erase & Install from scratch. Still looking for themes that work in SL. Tomorrow its VMWare trial with Win7 to get files off external WD Passport.
@MacGeek18, I noticed that you have uMB_Poly as well. Essentially the same machines - you get the better battery life. Oh yeah MagicMouse, Novation KeyPad, spare battery, mstand+keyboard is first week of April. 3rd week is MacMini 9400M for the family.

specs in my sig. the memory is reported as 1332 MHz as im using the AsereBLN boot loader that recognises memory info, however shows as 1 MHz less.
hopefully 10.6.3 will show the CPU as Intel Core i5.

fail? it runs pretty well perfect the bios handles all the speeds i.e. memory speed runs mostly at 1332.x MHz. you can make it appear as 1333 and CPU as 2.66.

Hey don't worry about it,I still have a 867Mhz PowerMac G4 that I still use everyday.It's quite slow on most things,but I mainly use it for like Yahoo messenger and Twitter when I don't want to have then open on my MacBook.
