Not my pic but I had pho sate last night:
How spicy is this? I am vietnamese myself, but have never had Pho Sate (or satay?). Shame on me.

Chipotle Weds!
That is one scrumpdillyishus-looking bowl of noodle soup. What is it called? And may I ask which country's cuisine? It looks Vietnamese, but might be Chinese, and I want to know so I can order it in a restaurant.
Dinner:
Boiled Rice and Kidney Beans
Vegetable Salad
Cold Drinks or Beer

Looks like Wonton, Fried fish balls, Green Onion, Choy Sum and instant ramen noodles to me. Since I'm chinese too, i'd say that looks like a Chinese dish

looks like wor won ton mein (chinese), but the hoisin in the background is throwing me off.
If only there were more true Chinese restaurants in Louisville, KY. We have several Chinese-American eateries, a generous sprinkling of cheap neighborhood takey-outeys, and a metric f***load of mega-buffets. But we only have one or two that serve authentic Chinese, and one of those closed just a few months ago. The other one is too far out of the way for anything more than a special occasion, and my wife considers their food too heavy on the garlic.
To which I reply, "Of course it's heavy on the garlic! It's Szechuan, fer Pete's sake!"
Yeah you are right - but viet style and fresh egg noodle. Fresh is always the best!
It may have Chinese roots (I am not sure) but it is vietnamese made in the vietnamese style haha. It is called "Mi hoanh thanh" or Wonton with egg noodles, and basically it is thin egg noodle in a flavorful broth with dumplings, some bbq pork slices, fried fish balls, 1-2 jumbo shrimp, sometimes a broiled chicken leg, and some lettuce and bean sprouts. My bowl had some real crab meat thrown in because my dad had steamed crabs the night before.
It is not typically eaten with hoisin, but I like to keep it on hand in case I want some more flavor.
Try looking for a vietnamese restaurant. Vietnamese cuisine is thankfully still the property of vietnamese people and thus made the traditional way without excess frying, msg, or sweet sticky sauces.
Thanks for the name. There is a restaurant in Louisville called Vietnam Kitchen, which is located in a part of town with high numbers of Vietnamese immigrants, and has really authentic food; my favorite dish there is "Hu Tieu cay Trieu Chau". Let's see if there's a menu online...Woo hoo, lucky me. According to Vietnam Kitchen's online menu, there is a "Mi hoanh thanh xa xiu" available, which looks close enough to me.
I love all types of Asian food, not just Chinese. Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, it's all good. Yes, I eat kimchi. And my wife forces me to eat it outside. LOL
Again, thanks so much for the information!
The people that have posted pictures of chipotle remind me of place here in OK called Qdoba.
I've been to a few in Ohio, but IMO definitely no where near as good as Chipotle. Their burritos are bland and chips taste like cardboard. I usually enjoy whatever I'm eating but wasn't a big fan of that place. *shrug*
