Some recent dishes:
Stuffed French toast. Stuffed with marscapone and strawberries. With a topping of whipped cream and slivered almonds. And bacon
Was too cold to grill outside yesterday,but I really wanted to try these new Stone hot sauces. Went with homemade empanadas instead. The sauces are amazing!!!
Had a friend stop by for coffee. As requested,chocolate chip cookies

For dinner, we ate some pretty good Chinese Food from a restaurant we haven't tried before. The Hot & Sour Soup was excellent, the Black Bean Chicken was good, and the Eggplant in Garlic Sauce was good enough.

I made scallops and fettuccine alfredo last night. The scallops were seared PERFECTLY!
I forgot to take a picture but will make them again on Saturday.
The way I cook my scallops is to sear them in clarified butter, 2 minutes per side, then use an entire stick of butter to baste it. It cooks them through, and gives them a deeper caramel color, and rich butter flavor.

Had a good dinner yesterday, me and my friends were treated a Korean dinner following the burial of my friend at the funeral yesterday. It was the only thing I could eat yesterday.
My condolences. On a brighter I note I love me some 깍두기. I could eat that all day with almost everything. With the weather being as cold as it is in Chicago, I've been 떡국 with 깍두기 more than I care to admit
