My condolences. On a brighter I note I love me some 깍두기. I could eat that all day with almost everything. With the weather being as cold as it is in Chicago, I've been 떡국 with 깍두기 more than I care to admit
I was craving 당면 for the longest time, and now I'm craving it even more. I'm trying to get my car fixed so I can drive to H-Mart of Duluth, GA (aka Asian Paradise aka my version of HEAVEN). You should have seen one of the family members trying to explain the choices of food to us, I remember the first choice he mentioned smelled very bad and all my friends were looking like "so... are the others anymore appetizing?"
I forgot what it was called because it was pretty funny, but everytime we smelled something bad we asked who got the #1.
The kkaktukki at upper left is probably my favorite banchan vegetable.
By the way: Is that doenjang jjigae in the bowl at right?
I love 김치, probably my fav. And yes, like a flavored clear ramen with salt.
