Snowdon >>>> Schwartz's

Schwartz's is good, but not as good as Snowdon.

Since you live in Toronto, you can go to Centre Street Deli in Richmond Hill. It's Snowdon Deli in Toronto. Get the Old Fashioned Smoked Meat sandwich! Their chicken knishes, pea soup, party sandwiches, and moon (sp?) cookies are amazing too.

I've been to Schwartz amazing smoked meat sandwich, small place and long line though. And I just google Snowdon Deli, I live 5-10mins walk from it

Is it that good? how's the price?

First Grilling of 2011

Finally was able to break out the grill here in New England today.... haven't had a nice juicy burger and garlic mashed potatoes in far too long (So i decided to have 2!). A nice Sam Adams to wash it down.

Saturday night dinner.........I grilled a couple of USDA Prime filet mignons along with zucchini. I made my own rub for the steaks consisting of sea salt, fresh ground pepper, paprika, mustard powder, and garlic powder. The zucchini was simply marinated in olive oil and pepper.

The photo might not be doing the food justice......the filet was cooked to a perfect medium rare.

Homemade Tiramisu. My second attempt at making it and it came out a whole lot better than my first.

O Canada...
^^^I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to poutine. ;)

A new poutinerie just opened up and I thought about going for just a traditional one, but I loved the name Notorious P.I.G. too much lol. My next one from there is defs going to be a traditional one though.

Had a meal at Heston Blumenthal's new restaurant yesterday evening. It's a modern take on old english dishes.

We asked for the sommelier to recommend some wine for our main course; she recommended this particular red but when she came back she offered another one since they ran out of the original red. She actually charged me the same price for the original one to make up for the mistake. This one should of been $40 for a glass but i got it for $20!

The best part of Passover.......fried matzoh for breakfast.

Soak the matzoh in a bowl of water for a few minutes to get it nice and soft. Dip in a bowl of eggs (mixed with milk, sugar, cinnamon). Melt a little butter in the pan (I used Pam butter spray), and fry until brown.

Topped with cinnamon and maple syrup.
