It's cedar plank. It gives the salmon a really nice, subtle smoky flavour.
I've tried on Apple wood, with a rosemary pouch, that also gives it a nice flavour, but trout is better.
Guess I will be hunting for cedar plank this week!

Nope, just the house lights, but I had the aperture open pretty wide, so that lens brightened it up a good bit.
