I think the speeds are great for me, considering I live in a town of about 30k, 100 miles away from Athens.

Wow, I used to think mine was reasonable considering I only pay 35 bucks a month, but now I see mine is horrible. Then again, I would never pay more than 50 bucks a month for internet. After all, I don't have that many torrents active right now. ;)
BTW, to everybody who gets crazy speeds (like you jav6454), where do you get your internetz?

Thats just plain wrong there.... don't Australians or its government do anything to stop such none sense? I mean, 25GB a month isn't that great considering some people eat 1GB (or more) a day in YouTube or streaming stuff. I mean, download a movie of iTunes and chunk! there goes 2GBs

HA! australia governments.. do something!! BURT!!

all of our exchanges are basically ruled by one company (Telstra). they hike up the prices because they own the exchanges and dont let anyone else in. the government has ordered telstra to give access to other ISPs but that was a good few months ago, have we seen any of these changes happen....no. it will be a year at least.

hmm i guess the government is doing some good, they announced a nation wide (which is VERY wide) plan to put fibre into everyones house, 100mbit download apparently(upload will be something pathetic like 10mbit). the thing is but that by the time its finished it will be outdated, the budget would have been blown x2 - making the price of internet still really really high and everyone will be angry again....

so they arent really doing anything afterall i guess.

ADSL2+ for the next 10 years here i come....while all of you are getting 500mb->1gbps (upload AND download)

Well speak in reference to Japanese dude, here, I barely get anything above 50 Mb/s and the price of one of those lines for you home usage is an arm and your first born whether its Verizon and their crappy FiOS service or AT&T's godly U-Verse.

There are 100 Mb/s lines out there, but they are even worse in price, something like an eye, your ability to hear and your house as a down payment.
