Virgin installed the 50Mb yesterday, niiice

What's it like... I am told that there are some painful caps on there... I get about 50-60Mbits on a Government provided connection...

so far so good.
managing to download 1Gb in around 4 mins.
if I remember rightly caps are for heavy downloads after 4pm and before 9pm, I usually download and play after 9 so not seen much of an issue

It's great when you just want to watch a movie... Just click buy... go get a cup of tea... and then watch it LOL.. I have a back-up connection which is ADSL and I only get about 3Mbit's!! It's SO SO SO slow... But I did say that it was a backup didn't I!!! Cable hardly ever goes down thank the lord..

Well... as I work from home reporting scans for the other side of the world (Tele-Radiology) I can't be let down if one connections goes down... Unfortunately... the ADSL (Backup Connection) is very slow.... and so it takes a lot longer than usual (As on Cable) to do my work...

officialy it should be better than this (can be the slow wifi connection to my router), however I'm not complaining...

The faster connection was through the server in Seattle.

What?! 1Gb in 4 minutes!! Ugh I have to wait 45 - 60 minutes for 1GB...

I don't really trust these things too much though... My speed varies by like 2-3 Mb/s depending on which server I choose.
