How fast is your internet?

I have optimum online and my internet always seems really slow. It is about 14 Mbps up over ethernet, but I almost never use ethernet and the wifi is about 5-7 Mbps. I was looking it up, and people were complaining about 2MB/s over wifi?? Once in a while I'll get 500KB/s....

I was thinking about getting Verizon FiOS since I've heard good things about them (except for the fact that they rip out copper cable). Anyone mind posting their internet speeds? (doesn't have to be OOL or FiOS)

Seriously I don't know what's wrong with the upload speed (weird thing about fibre presumably?). The connection is asymmetrical though. Decent 5Mbps connection.

ISP Speed+Price world comparison

Hi guys, I always like to compare the performance and price that ISP around the world are offering just to get a global idea about how things are evolving in different countries and continents.


This is what I've got here in Barcelona (Catalonia)

51Mbps Down 5Mbps up and 17ms ping

Is Cable and I'm using a CISCO EPC3825 cable-modem. The ISP name is ono www.ono.es

Price is: 24,9€ a month (first year) then 45€
