Still no takers on the System 9.2.1 download test.

I would really like to see some comparison figures time wise. The speed meters give bogus results. Actual DL'ing a large file over time can give a much better throughput of your connection.

Here's looking forward to seeing some DL times for the 9.2.1 download.

560 kbps download
415 kbps upload

Fast enough for iChat multi video conference...

Wow iGary, not bad. Looks like you're ready for video-on-demand

I tested it because I got a letter from the cable company last week stating my upload speeds had been doubled - I had no idea the download was so high, though.

That's pretty nice. Who knew the quad gave you 4x the bandwidth as well?

I just tested mine at work, connecting via VPN:

Oooooh I'll have to remember to add to this thread tomorrow when my up-to-24MB service is activated

Alright, I just took the 9.2.1 download test. On a cable internet connection I got 5:06, or about 16 MB/min. I must say I am quite satisfied. :)

Cool. Thanks.

How does this compare with your speed meter test rates?

Download Speed: 5167 kbps (645.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 534 kbps (66.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

But seeing as this is a Washington DC server, I also picked one a bit closer:
Download
929.6 KByte/sec(=7437 kbps)
Upload
111.5 KByte/sec (=892 kbps)

And that's fast enough for MSN :) (just kidding)

here's mine.. not bad, not great.. and holy crap iGary, how the heck do you have speeds so fast..?!

Thanks, it's nice to do a test that's on this side of the Atlantic. Could you post your result with this test?

It's quite a bit faster than what I got going to D.C. using the original link.

I tried this one too. Is this good?

It's only a fraction of what I'm supposed to be getting. (If I did the math right  ) But I suppose downloading from Apple servers an hour before the Stevenote might have tainted the test.
