Download was very slow because it's peak time, but the upload is quite nice :)

$40 Canadian a month with Rogers

I was also on MSN at the time of taking the test if that matters much.

Edit: I should also mention that this is wireless from my router downstairs and I used the New York server.

Found a UK based test, helps quite a bit:

Looks like photoshop. Notice the number 1 is on top of the grey arrow.

If I am wrong I apologize, but it does look a tad suspect.

It's not Photoshop, as I have no image editor, other than MS Paint on my computer. Plus, I'm no graphics guy. Not sure what you mean by the 1 on top of the grey arrow.

It's a gig connection at work. Obviously this test didn't capture that.

Yeah, and completely unfounded. :)

I have Comcast this is out of 6mb/356k.
I wish Fios was avalible in my area, maybe someday.
The first test is from DC the second if from NY

BellSouth DSL in Atlanta (~$32)

1838kbps down
171kbps up

Comcast offers up to 8mbps in our area, and I'm hoping a for a cheap fiber optic option in the area soon, as I'm pretty sure we're wired for it.

Aw, its like I'm pedalling a bike across country while everyone else is taking a plane. :(

The equivalent speed tester here in Australia says that for very fast connections (such as ADSL2+) their test merely measures the capabilities of the computer's Java engine.

In theory, I get 24,000kbps download and 1,000kbps upload which is usually enough for a few tabs of MacRumors.

This is on my PC

Download Speed: 12502 kbps (1562.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1773 kbps (221.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
