Though York is closer to me than New York...Yoyk.

we're to be upgraded to 1mbps from 512kbps soon. god i hope its soon. 512 suits me fine for browsing... but... yea.

New York gave me the best results.

2203 up and 400 down. I wonder is using an Airport makes a difference.

mine was actually pretty slow

Last Result:
Download Speed: 6225 kbps (778.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 858 kbps (107.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

im on wireless so if i was plugged in itd probably be faster.......i usually download around 1mb per seocnd when i DL from the internet (its the best for downloading concerts)

Only me online now, slightly better, just slightly  lol

I should have 8Mbps, but BT have decided to cap my local exchange to 2Mbps :(

on my wireless: I'm suprised the DL speed is so low, but the upload seems better than average.

Who are you with?

I'm in Imperial halls in London, across the street from the Department of Computing. Over there the internet is SO much faster too. I believe if nobody is on the network it's 10mbit up/down here.

Download Speed: 2133 kbps (266.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 111 kbps (13.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

Road Runner (Time Warner, $50/mo.), used NYC Server, using WPA Protected 802.11G. Test done from 12" iBook G4 1.33Ghz.

No complaints, everything's snappy for me.

The numbers certainly don't feel like they add up.

Cox Cable, Irvine, CA. Lots of outages, though. I don't know why, either.

Tried one service locally here in Norway (twice, secind time pausing iTunes/AirTunes). That gave a bit better result:

Down: 2608 & 2633 kbps

Up: 620 & 621 kbps

Not a bad connection to NY (2132/468), though... :)
