my school connection :(

Download Speed: 227 kbps (28.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 2211 kbps (276.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

so ive found out that my school's connection varies depending on how many people are using it....it ranges from the low hundreds to low thousands.

On Wireless...eep

Update: So i did what sushi and sycho said and here are the results. System 9.2.1 took 33 secs or less, i wasn't quick enough to take a screenshot on the actual begin of DL to get an accurate time. Did this during peak time using my own laptop over wi-fi (last one was at night using the in house computers (gigabit ethernet)), hence the probable reason for the reduction but this is still no slouch.

Things are changing pretty fast.

Here in Ireland (which is far behind the broadband adoption curve), several providers are offering 8Mbps+ home connections. There are several wireless options coming onstream here too with fast upload speeds - I've a 4Mbps up/4Mbps down connection which isn't too expensive.

Testing my iBook.

A bit disappointed, it's about as fast as my Mini on wireless with a 1 MB/ps connection.

Problem is, this is my iBook not on wirless with a 1.5 MB/ps connection.
