On one of my Macs of course
Aloha everyone,

Here's my wired speed followed by my wireless speed (I'm using a Linksys WRT54G wireless router).

because i had to move, i also had to give up that nice 25Mbit/2Mbit connection, which usually gave me 20down and 2 up (wired that is)

now i only have a 2Mbit/384kbit line.
the downstream is enough for most things but the upstream is really limiting.

Not bad for a AirPort Extreme 'N' to a only b/g capable computer...

My ping is really sweet on wireless, so the 360 (on the same wireless network) usually picks me as host on COD4.

Wow your upload results are great!

Thanks!

I'm just hoping it will enough to play Xbox Live with my friends back stateside.

But the guy above me with 40/30k is... amazing. Is your house or your next door neighbor the server?

We're on Comcast here in Tennessee. I've had download speeds of between 4000 and 7000 kbps for years. I have had three computers hooked to a hub which is hooked to a router which is hooked to the cable modem the whole time. I finally added a fourth computer which required an additional port and therefore the hub had to go. I did some research and found that a switch is better than a hub and therefore got a used Linksys EZXS88W (8 port switch) off ebay. WOW, what a difference!!!!! The first time I did the test at speakeasy.net the download was 24000 kbps. It has averaged between 15000 and 24000 every time on my PC and also on my three Macs after I installed Broadband Optimizer (they were only half as fast downloading as my PC before that). I wish I had known.

To all you hub users: get a switch (or better just go straight off the router if you are close enough to it--my router is upstairs with the in-laws' PC and my four computers are in the basement and that's why I can't just use the router.)
