I commented on my pc in this thread relating to my first impressions of an imac. but here are the official specs It's not a mac (deal with it.) System runs a genuine copy of 64bit-Windows 7 Ultimate, (Thank you Windows 7 house party promotion. Note: no party was actually held but I got all the gear;).

Specs:
-Gigabyte GA-EX58 Extreme
-Intel Core i7-920, @ 3.2GHz on stock cooler (reduced from 3.4 to keep electrical loading down)
-6GB G-Skill DDR3 1600,
-2 x Palit GTX 295's @ 640MHz-core, 2100MHz-memory, 1300MHz-Shader.
-Gigabyte ODIN GT 800W PSU Just hanging on, and most of the time not :( graphics loading is over 800W:eek: (35A x 12V = 420W each because of the overclock )
-LG BluRay combo drive internal
-2x1TB Seagate 7200 drives
-2x Silverstone 80mm fans rear, 2x Thermaltake 92mm fans front
-All boxed up in a SilverStone LC-17 HTPC case.
-LG DVD burner external, mounted between the monitors fore easy access
-WD 1TB External HDD
-Old school A4-Tech infra red wireless ball mouse (the style you need to point at the receiver,) and an LG Wireless keyboard

Monitors
  • ex-DSTO, Dual Silicone Graphics WDM-90W11, WUXGA 24" wide screen monitors. I'll take these over any LCD any day of the week :)
Note: they do weigh 35kg each [sm-cry]

Other:
-Yamaha RX-1200 AV reciever
-Pioneer Laserdisc player (for the large collection of laserdiscs stored underneath the desk)
-Pioneer SACD/DVD-A player, with Yamaha AC-3 converter box for Digital sound
-NAD Audio Cassette player
-Sony MZ-NH1 MD player
-Denon CD player
-Energy Connoisseur C7 Speakers
-Sega Dream cast (only thing not connected.)
-AudioTechnica ATH-AD700 head phones, fore when the neighbors are home

The blueshift in the photo is a camera artifact on the screens, they were actually been colour corrected prior to this photograph.

Cheers
Jordan

Note: a new case is being sourced, but I'll miss the HTPC case. And o Keri and innominato5090 I'm right handed, but due to this setup I learned to use the mouse with my left hand. Strange world...

It's a work in progress...

... but I just got my new desktop in the mail this morning, and I wanna show off! :p

Alienware Aurora
Core i7 920, liquid cooled
ATI 5870
6GBs of TC DDR3

... installed Crysis, Bad Company 2, and TF2 already, and have gotten, at max settings and max AA, an average of 30FPS, 60FPS, and 200+ FPS respectively, at 1920x1200. I'm a pretty happy camper.

.... I know they're crappy pics, but it's late and I have no light to work with :( Gimmie a couple days and I'll throw some nice ones up :)

New setup! (I might have to sell this due to a summer Davidson College thing I'm doing :( but if I do at least I get a kickass gaming laptop.)

-- Specs of computer in sig
-- 20" HP LCD, WSXGA+
-- 36" Sharp LCD TV, 720p. Used for iTunes. Literally. That's just where my iTunes window goes.
-- Logitech z680 speakers (an attic find xDD)

Alright, got everything hooked up to about the way I want it. Need to do some cable management.... but it's kind of pointless since I'll be heading back home for the summer in a couple weeks.

Absolutely LOVING the performance! Every single game I've thrown at it has been running buttery smooth at max settings. Other than Crysis and GTAIV, I have yet to find a game to drop much below 60fps. Most run much, much higher.

I know it's not "really" custom, so forgive me, please. :p

I love the looks of your setup, but one question: why the Alienware instead of a custom build? Not trying to hate, just wondering. :)

Got one heck of a deal on it. Was a factory refurb from dell. They lowered the price even further. Then they had 25% off for a couple days; plus free shipping. Came out to $946/shipped. Can't even do that well with a custom build, and I knew it... so I snagged it up! ;)
