Very nice cable management BTW.

LOL you like it? Its actually part of the wallpaper. The room was a kids room when I picked up the house and I left it that way and made it my office. Its not good to be too serious so when I have too much stress, I just look at the wallpaper :)

Nice poster. :D

Cleaned my rig up tonight, after being inspired by this thread. Cable managed it, fixed some questionable accent lighting decisions, returned the unlit PWM fan to the CPU heatsink, and redid the thermal paste.

Specs are in my sig

This pic was with the flash, exposing how hopeless trying to cable manage this box is:

A shot of how it really looks in person (well, kind of. I pulled it out from between the shelves to take the pics.

I'm still a bigger fan of the P Series Chrispy.

Yeah, the P Series (I had a 180 and then a 182) felt more organized. Had to go through a bit of work to get things how I wanted in the 1200. Now that it is put together is nice and sturdy tho. Gotta love those big ass Antec cases ;)

is that the Noctua U12P? how is it? did you use the included thermal?

It is indeed the Noctua NH-U12P. I used Antec Silver 5 in place of the included paste. The included stuff may have been fine but I trust the Antec Silver. Also, I only have one of the two fans installed and it cools just fine. Installation was a bit confusing and the directions could definitely have been better but overall it wasn't too bad.

Love that keyboard.

Eidorian hit it right on the money with the link :)

I sometimes like building custom PCs in oddball 'cases'.

Not too long ago, I built an Atom 330 PC in the motherboard box:

Then I moved everything to a $5 straw basket for a kitchen PC:

It sat atop the freezer- literally the coolest spot in the house- so no wiring showed. I had a 4-port USB hub that luckily fit perfectly into the basket handle for the 'front panel' ports. And check the nifty 'external/internal' DVD burner. I recently rebuilt with a more conventional case since I had one on order, but I really liked the "Basket Case" while it lasted.
