are you using the standard copy/paste method? changing the trash icon requires (as far as i know) one of the icon-changing apps, such as CandyBar or Pixadex.

yes i was doing the stand copy/paste. Thanks for the info though, trash isnt that important to me though. But i do dispise the Safari icon, as well as mail...too bland, i'll chagne those

Here's mine. I normally have it hidden, with the icons the smallest size possible, but maximum zooming :D That gets really envious looks from my Windows brethren and sistren :D I've lost count of how many times I head someone gasp and ask "just how did you do that?" Then when you slow down the animation (maximizing and minimizing) with the Shift key, you can really see them get a bit steamed at having to use Windows :D

Anyway, for those who want to know (assuming at least one), they are (from left to right):

Finder, Dashboard, Mail, Safari, Firefox, gDisk, Internet Connect, iStumbler, Cyberduck, Parallels (I use the Darth Vader icon because I only run Windows XP in Parallels), Unison, iChat, Address Book, DVD Player, Mac the Ripper, Toast, PodTube, iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, Garageband, Photo Booth, iWeb, iCalendar, NeoOffice, Quicktime, System Preferences, Desk Decal, HP Photosmart Studio, HP Device Manager (the last two came with the HP printer install - HP Officejet 6310xi), HardwareGrowler, Rawr-jour, Quicksilver, MenuShade, Preview, Apple (springy icon), minimized Safari, and empty Trash

Usually hidden, slight magnification (as you can see). These are the only apps I use regularly. For everything else I use cmd+space spotlight search. :)

You'll never find a cluttered dock on this Mac.

I don't know if I'm just seeing things, but on some screenshots the blue of say, the Mail, Safari, and Quicktime icons looks richer than in other dock pics... can anyone explain this?
