What apps are:
the globe, the blue squiggly thing, the 9 fingered hand, and the X1 briefcase? I might have answer myself already on the last, but I have no idea what it means

Here is mine for the time being:

Sure, fi you find any please let me know! :)

This ShapeShifter app seems more geared towards themes and the like anyway, so a person may not simply be able to check their Finder icon specifically (as an example) using it. Not sure though, would have to try...

Yeah, I just found out ShapeShifter isn't free! I started my computer and it made me revert back to Aqua. Tricksters!

Sorry 'bout the false info. :(

The nine fingered hand is Corel Painter IX, but not sure on the rest!

That explains 25% of my questioned apps, however I still appreciate the response. The others really boggle me simply because I have never seen them before, hence I want to know what they are!

I haven't used Sound Studio so I cannot make a comparison, but Audacity is a pretty good tool, I don't use it too often but I am always impressed when I need it for something. I mostly use it for changing the speed and pitch of a few audio files I work with..

Nice touch! You should do this every holiday season. I can't wait to see your Christmas Dock! ;)

I probably will, although I get sick of Christmas glee a lot faster than Halloween mischief, so I might have some personal struggles keeping it up for very long, perhaps change it over on Dec.20 or something....I can probably last 5 days  I actually really hate Xmas for some reason.

I love the four on the right (the folders, not particularly the icons) because I can change them to anything and never forget what they are because they aren't apps, so it doesn't matter what they look like :)

Excellent, thank you. You actually had me confused because you quoted my image and I had a blue squiggly guy as Finder :p, but I figured it out eventually.

Here's the Spooky dock

Nice, I really like it, much more completely spooked than mine . Question, where did you get the Icons for the Adobe apps without any background blocks? Also, what halloween pack is that and where from??

My dock (sorry its so wide... its only the center 50% on my display :D)
dock101105.png

The Windows-style Outlook icon in the documents section of the dock is a Citrix login file to remotely access my work Outlook account (opens Outlook XP in a Citrix session window). Works pretty well, actually.

I actually just heard of Citrix today for the first time from a fellow Mac user in a meeting. Is it like VPC or something? is it free?

Some of us use Tao at work, others on Outlook although we are all transitioning. The person was mentioning that using Citrix allowed them to log into the ''normal'' system (since very few co-workers have Macs) and check Tao mail, he uses Entourage to check the Outlook system mail. Are there any other uses for Citrix?

Mine.

Edit: Tried Lacero's trick on my PB 1.33 - I got up to 45 apps running. Motion slowed it down, then VPC slowed it to a crawl. Nothing crashed. Very stable.
