I'm curious about those who keep Quicktime in the dock -- what do you do with it? It seems like I never launch that app myself, it just opens whenever I open a video file.

I keep QT in the Dock because quite often I want to open a m4v video and I dont want them to be copied to my iTunes library, so I just drag them to the QT icon.

I also keep Preview in my Dock for almost the same reason, just with images. If I want to see what's in the image file, but it has a mmm... for example .psd extension, so double-clicking it would result in launching of Photoshop, I drag the image to the preview icon to open it in this app :)

Anyway, here's my Dock (cleaned it extensively, removed many apps I dont use frequently, removed Applications and my Home folders (easy to open Apps folder with Command-Shift-A and Home folder by clicking the Finder icon - this is of course when no other finder window is open). With spotlight its so easy to find necessary app!

I keep it since I have Quicktime Pro and tt's handy for those quick editing moments.

I don't use all the apps in my dock in a month but they all do get used at some point.

9 items total. I leave off any apps that i dont leave open constantly accept for itunes and activity monitor cause i use them almost all the time.

I use quicksilver to launch anything else. Keeps my desktop cleaner and is mostly quicker than trying to find the right app in a jumble of icons.

22 items in my dock, and that includes the finder, dashboard, and trash--not too crowded. Of those, I use 10 everyday, and the others only a few times a week.

19 Apps, all of which i use..

and i must say Quicksilver is awesome. :) a must have for someone with an overcrowded dock!

I just realized how full my dock was, it's getting wacky. Do you guys keep your dock this full or is this just me?

Where'd you pick up that wallpaper?

BTW, I don't bother to clutter the dock with anything but the programs I use daily, however, even that isn't a priority for me because Quicksilver rocks. I can start any app faster with quicksilver than I can with the dock.

I only have a few apps in my dock in addition to the ones that were there after a fresh installation. For anything else, I use QuickSilver.

8 including Finder and Trash Can. :) Today I haven't even need iCal:eek: Word and iPhoto have been used and are now closed. I have read all emails:D

Here's mine!

Only stuff I use regularly. I hate it when the dock doesn't fit along the side of my screen anymore!

12, one which I never use. All the others get regular use.

I'm suprised how many people actually have Word. I use ABiWord.
